So ESPN/ABC consistently downs anything but the SEC and the ACC. You have a Virginia Tech team who, in my opinion, has the worst loss in history to JMU. (because Appy St was damn good when they beat Michigan)
They follow and trump that loss two years ago losing to Old Dominion, a team that just started a handful of years ago and was god awful for the rest of the year. Then they lose yet again to Liberty, who isn’t bad and is ranked, but it’s still Falwell U.
Strangely you don’t hear a word, and if you do it’s basically referred to as college football version of March madness only when it affects major TV contracts. Anyone else, it casts a dark cloud for the rest of the conference to be in the CFP....... And yet we don’t the BCS in place anymore that would put a “little guy” against the big guy that generated major upsets consistently.
Now we have a committee deciding, regardless of record, who is the best?
