This guy couldn't get on an airplane. You think that people who put Jesus pics up in their house would be comfortable with changing out their artwork? I think not. Very amusing.
That was a composite speculating the typical features of a Jewish man in 1st century Palestine. I saw it when the show originally aired on the Discovery Channel.
The most common depictions of Jesus are based on artwork from the Middle East in the early centuries AD. They depict Jesus with dark eyes and dark skin. They all depict him with very similar facial features.
If you go into a church that actually contains a picture of Jesus, first it's probably an old church. Second, Jesus pictures often do reflect the dominate race of the people of that church. In white churches Jesus looks European. In black churches Jesus looks African. In Asian churches Jesus looks Asian. I don't have a problem with that. The Gospels present Jesus as the Savior of the World. Those who first spread the Gospel said things like this:
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." ("Jews first, meaning the Gospel came to the Jews first).
"My dear children,I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
So when people depict Jesus to look like themselves they are saying Jesus is one of them--and according to the Bible, every people can say that:
"After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb."
