Would love to have him next year. Don’t want to lose Bolden but I believe he is moving up to an early 2nd round pick.

Kessler would be a dynamite catch. 7 footer but he can really handle the ball , has good hands and he's a good shot blocker.

Can anybody find out his age? Thought it was a strange tweet from adam rowe. He pretty much gave it away.

I don’t see a world where Bolden is drafted. He’s a great player on this Duke team and I respect the kid so much for the role he’s taken on but I don’t think he’s ready for the league at all. Just my opinion.

No one said he would be drafted or was ready. That rarely applies anymore.

Bolden needs to follow the Marshal plan. Lance is another great example. Stay the course big fella.

I believe someone may take a shot at him when he goes, whether this year or next. The skills are there, the body is there, he just hasn’t maxed anything out yet. I see a lot of untapped potential. He needs to play with an attitude. Problem is it doesn’t match his personality at all.

The UVA and the Pitt game (too small of a sample, I'm aware), Bolden has looked like a guy capable of coming off the bench in an NBA game and giving a good 15 mpg....

Except that he can't shoot.
Sir Charles was right. The nba is turrible right now. Realistically, hardly any kid is ready for the nba after one year, and we will probably lose our point guard, who is not a good shooter. But doesn't matter, they throw this monopoly money at these kids.
Everybody wants to be like Golden State and shoot 3's all game. Nobody has their quality of shooters. Then you have Harden standing there dribbling 8,934 times a game. He scored 115 points in 2 games last week, and no assists on any of those points.

I don’t find the NBA game all that attractive a watch. As a Knicks fan it has become very easy to pass altogether. No other sport bends and manipulates the rules of the game more than NBA. It is all about scoring. And the athletes are simply too big and too fast, it becomes a free throw shooting contest.

Most 20 year old 7-footers can't shoot a lick. Doesn't mean he won't be able to shoot when he is a 25 year old pro.
His free throw stroke has actually looked great, here's the thing....free throw shooting in college generally is the best indicator of future NBA shooting. If you can knock down FT's as a 20 year old, as long as Bolden keeps working on it, he will continue to extend his range. See Brook Lopez. Never shot a 3 until he was 30 years old in the NBA, he's now taking over 7 three's a game.....

Besides all that....his stroke is already better than a lot of NBA centers. Drummond, Whiteside, Capela, I could keep going etc.

Except that he can't shoot.

Bigs need to be able to defend and rebound. Bolden is defending, especially on switches, at an incredibly high level. He doesn't rebound as well as we'd like, but he's no slouch.
.
No, the O isn't there. But him making threes, or any jumpers, would make him a pretty decent starter. But the league is full of guys that don't start. So long as he plays a role that is valued. And a big man who will play D, rebound, and not whine when he isn't fed the ball constantly, has a role. His ability to knock down FTs will further intrigue and impress pro evaluators. He will also test fairly well in the pre draft process. I'm not sure he'll be a first round pick, but nearly every second round pick gets guaranteed money, and 2 years to prove their long term value to the NBA. Worse players have bet on themselves. Further, his recent play speaks to a newfound maturity and a rational evaluation of who he is, and what his future will need to entail. I think his interviews will impress NBA execs who are looking for role players, not future stars, where he'll be considered to be drafted.
.
Finally, how well does anyone think he'll fit alongside Vernon Carey? VC and Bolden aren't like Bags and Carter. Playing them together would be like playing two Oakafor's together. I really don't think VC would have committed unless he were fairly sure that Bolden wouldn't be at Duke next year.

Yea his free throw form is probably the best on the whole team.. he has the fundamentals to be a good shooter in the future.
I really agree with this. It actually looks very fluid. You can tell he’s been working on it.
