Neat match-up. I don't think ER's ever played them before. Anyone know anything about the Wolfpack?

I only know a few things.......1) they were pretty good in the mid 2010's and had a good RB named Josh Transou. 2) they have a very nice gym. 3) there's an awesome Mexican restaurant right outside the school.

Other than that, I got nothin'......

Former Cummings OC was the OC for Walkertown in that nice little run they had. Went to see them in the playoffs several times.
They run the double slot and the Shotgun as well. QB is a good athlete and they have a tall wideout who is dangerous. Sort of a trap game for ER imo. Coming off two huge contests versus a 3A power and a 3A rival. Should be fun.

They are very athletic but terribly coached. They run over slow teams but when someone comes to bully them they get lost. ER should be fine.

Walkertown came to ER for a jamboree the first year they had a team I believe! Nice athletic team then. I hear a main player was seen on crutches.

Slasher, I disagree with you. Coach McCoy was On the staff of a Carver state championship and head coach of 2AA state championship team at Andrews. He seems like a class guy to me.

He's always had quality athletes to win him games but when the big time comes he either chokes it away or sloppily wins. Andrews had a championship potential team in 2012 and they choked to Salisbury who flat out outcoached him. The next year Monroe outhit them for a half before the luck ran put and Andrews took off. They should never trailed at all. They easily could had 2 titles there but just got 1.

In the spring even I wasn't impressed. They were horrendously bad vs Surry Central, he never bothered to change their schemes and Central outhit them and caused 4-5 turnovers. they were lucky they had the speed edge there to counter it and stop them, or else they would lost. Plus losing that running back to East should have never happened.

He's a good dude but I've never liked his coaching style. Too laid back for me.. with the athletes he has he should be getting more out of them. Just my few cents anyways.

I think both of Walkertowns good backs transferred out. One to East forsyth and one to Glenn.

If they had them, that would probably make them a top 25 in chris top 25

Only for the smaller schools. They will never be successful with that rule. If a kid has a big year at one of the smaller kids he’s likely gone.
Also, the county forces the small schools to play non-conference in the county. Carver and the small schools have to play the big 4A teams. With open transfer that is basically a tryout opportunity for the little guys to go to a bigger school.

No they don’t anymore and hasn’t for at least 5 years. The small schools pushed it initially looking for big gates.

This one still a no go? WFMY selected it tonight as game of the week and Sportstone has added it back to their radio schedule.
