It is also reflective of his average per attempt...which is not good (3rd Quintile in the full FBS Universe). The reality is that Drew is not the #2 QB in any FBS Passing Statistic, not even close as evidenced by the fact that he is currently the 14th Ranked QB in the big by QBR (Quarterback Rating which is a weighting of all Passing Stats) - he is currently behind Maiava USC (262.4 QBR Rating), Moore OR (213.7), Sayin duhO$U (209.7), Altmyer ILL (195.5), Kaliamanis RUT (180.9), Raiola NEB (175.1), Browne PUR (170.6), O'Neill WIS (169.7), Williams WASH (165.1), Chiles MSU (163.3), Lindsey MINN (161.2), Mendoza IND (153.6) and the Drew at 145.6. And that's just in the b1g - he's 3rd Quartile in QBR in all of FBS, but dipstick is trying to claim he's proven to be the 2nd best QB in the nation through 3 weeks of the season????????

Last year Drew was the 4th or 5th best QB in the B1G.

This year, based on two games against creampuff opponents, he ranks 14th out of 18 B1G quarterbacks. That's because his passing has been mediocre and he's a liability as a runner and with regard to sacks.

We have the dumbest fan base in the nation--it'd be adorable if it wasn't so pathetic.

I don't have to hurl petty, childish insults ... instead, I just have to use facts.

This year PSU has been more pass heavy than Ole Miss. The QBs themselves have performed about the same, overall, with one leaning more heavily on shorter, higher completion percentage passing ... but the overall results have been about the same. So the WR performance is not explained away by scheme, nor by QB performance.

Even before any games were played this year, those who knew receivers knew Wallace was the best option amongst the PSU WR transfer carousel (in and out).

You can scream "air raid!" and "idiot!" all you want, if it makes you feel better, but it doesn't change reality.
You don’t seem to follow college football. Reading 2 weeks of box scores ain’t it. If you knew what was going on, you’d know Ole Miss’s qb was hurt last week and the backup came in and they ran the ball for the rest of the game. Also, Ole Miss has thrown for 635 yards and PSU has thrown for 503 yards, so no, those are not about the same.

There's no reason for you to be like this, with the ridiculous attempts to insult. Just stick to facts.

Ole Miss's QB was hurt late in the 4th. He missed one "real" series (there was one victory formation play following an onsides kick recovery by Ole Miss to end the game, in addition to that one series). There were exactly 8 runs in that one series Simmons missed. For the game, Ole Miss had 24 passing attempts and 48 runs. That would mean, before that series, there would have been 24 passing attempts and 40 runs. Additionally, Ole Miss was up by 7 going into their final drive, that Simmons missed. With 4 minutes and 5 seconds left in the game when they got the ball. So even with a healthy Simmons, they would have been mostly running the ball to bleed clock.

In other words, your factoid that was supposed to change everything and show that I was an idiot that knew nothing about college football ... changed absolutely nothing about the overall picture.

Yes, of course Ole Miss has thrown for more yards. That changes nothing about what I've said, to date. In fact, it agrees with my statement that one QB has relied more on higher percentage, shorter yardage throws (meaning the other has relied on lower percentage, longer yardage).

Regardless, PSU is still pass-heavier than Ole Miss this year, and the starting QBs have performed about the same, as I've shown (and explained the different ways they got to around the same overall performance).

Now, you can respond and call me a stinky buttcheese who never knew nuffin 'bout no foosball ... but, at some point, you have to start putting together a cogent argument to back your claims.

Earlier, I highlighted PSU and Ole Miss's run/pass play totals ... we can compare to last year's at this point:

Through 2 games:
PSU 2025: 67 Run/68 Pass
PSU 2024: 79 Run/38 Pass

Ole Miss 2025: 92 Run/61 Pass
Ole Miss 2024: 79 Run/76 Pass

PSU has obviously made a more concerted effort to work on their passing game early this year.

Keep in mind, last year Ole Miss trucked their first 2 opponents, so they would have been more likely to dial it back and run it more often toward the end of the game.

Last year, Ole Miss had 2x as many passes as PSU through 2 games. That's incredible. This year, PSU has more attempts than Ole Miss.

I think Drew is much better than the y-t-d stats show - my post is no about banging on Drew, I think he is a pretty good QB and has done very well for PSU. I'm just posting to show how over-the-top nuts KingLoado is. Players and teams never stay the same - they're always getting better or worse depending upon how hard they're working and practicing. In some ways, last week will keep drew focused and hungry.... and in the long run it may make Drew even better. Drew is an extremely hard worker and that may be one of his greatest strengths - he wants to get better, is willing to put in the work.... so he likely will get better after reviewing the film, practicing, etc....

Yes, this should benefit PSU as the season wears on. They’re getting Allar more reps, generally … more reps with his new receivers … and they’re “forcing” the passing game more so, when/if we need it down the line, it’ll be more likely to be there. And we’re keeping the RBs fresher. Remember, if we go deep into the playoffs, it’s a long friggin season.

They’re keeping everything pretty vanilla, too.

That said, if Wallace was here, he’d be our best WR. And Evans, if healthy, would be right in the mix with these other new guys. If we’d kept those two, and added one of the newbies, we’d be no worse off than we are now (assuming health). We don’t/didn’t have world class wideouts, but they weren’t the huge problem they were made out to be by some folks.
