I agree Perry is 100% not ready. I'm not convinced he will ever be ready.

Since I'm not the real Sky Walker. The real one just texted me and said Butler is a Dog and he is playing.
Chandler doesn't have the handle you would want from a PG. But then again, I haven't been impressed by Kriisa's handle this season. I'm not worried about Kriisa's 3pt. shooting (yet), but I don't relish the thought of ball pressure while he's at PG. Still, it's likely Kriisa is the best option if Butler can't go. Perry has a pretty good handle but is probably not ready for the responsibility of being the guy against big time pressure. Maybe Oweh can be a decent pressure valve option.
Remember PG in Pope’s offense doesn’t really have to handle. That’s why I think in his press conference, he was talking about Robinson or Oweh at point if needed. PG for Pope means dribbling to halfcourt. Almost our entire team can do that

That's certainly true to a degree. But when a team is pushing out and really putting on heavy ball pressure (which I don't think is normally Gonzaga's thing), you better have somebody with a really good handle to make the opposition pay for overplaying. I don't feel good about anybody fitting that bill but Butler.
Yup he is our engine especially getting in the paint.
Butler has really gotten better with getting into the paint while not getting sped up. He's playing off two feet in there and seemingly calmly weighing his options. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but Butler is a noticeably better player in Pope's offense than he was at SDSt. (and he was darn good there).
Not related to butler but Alabama is getting a lot of buzz for Dybansta now

Very talented kid, but I don’t know/haven't read anything about his mindset. So, my question in regard to him is can Oats get him to play within a team concept, or is it going to be showcase time and too many isolation spins into a contested fade-away 17-footer? One probably gives a team a nice advantage against most opponents, the other provides ball-watching team chemistry problems and a likely guaranteed early exit from the tournament.
Fair question. If oats were to just out four shooters around him and let dybansta be a point forward, then idk how you would guard them. defensively they might be bad, but
