Washington Post - today, 8/4

Big Ten reportedly close to adding Oregon and Washington to its ranks

That would seal it - PAC is dead.
How many PAC teams does Big12 want?
-Just Arizona, stop at 14?
-Also AZ St & Utah? 16, but all additions are power conf schools?
-AZ, San Diego State, and Eastern school? (though UConn, Memphis, SFla do not excite me even a little bit).

I think Big12 eventually takes in 4 ACC schools.

I think it plays out like this…

Arizona makes 14. If ASU and Utah comes, then stop at 16.

Arizona makes 14. If ASU and Utah decline, then stop at 14.

In both scenarios, the Big 12 waits for the ACC to crumble and then they come for whatever the B10 and SEC leaves behind. And they go for 20 or beyond.

Decent option.
