DOJ on the record: Rosenstein did not threaten to resign

CNN reported Thursday morning that DOJ rejected the claim made by the Post’s anonymous source late Wednesday night that said “Rosenstein threatened to resign after the narrative emerging from the White House on Tuesday evening cast him as a prime mover of the decision to fire Comey and that the president acted only on his recommendation.”

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters Wednesday afternoon that Comey’s firing happened because of his “circumventing” the DOJ’s chain of command.

I'm at the point now where I don't even pay attention to what the MSM reports. Let alone place any credibility into any of it.

Zero credibility with me.

I only read and post alternative media. Nothing from the traditional sources is worth passing along.

Just blatant lies on their part. But it serves their agenda. Journalistic ethics be damned. Integrity is overrated in their opinion. I've never before seen a main stream media in this country so corrupt, not even during the Nixon years.

It's a sad state of affairs for the fourth estate. They have squandered any trustworthiness they ever had in the first place with their blatant hatred of all things Trump.

Simply disgusting.

Rosenstein said just today that he never threatened to quit. Never.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein did not threaten to quit his job over the White House’s handling of the firing of FBI Director James Comey, contrary to a report from The Washington Post.

Asked by Sinclair Broadcast Group reporter Michelle Macaluso whether he plans to leave his job, Rosenstein responded: “no, I’m not quitting.”

“Did you threaten to quit?” Macaluso asked Rosenstein as he was leaving a meeting with members of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“No,” responded Rosenstein, who took office on April 26 and is overseeing the Justice Department’s Russia probe.

At this time in his career threatening to quit would not make much sense but people say a lot of things off the record and then backpedal when they show up in the press. I realize that you're trying to use it as a media gotcha moment but it's a pretty unimportant point in the whole scheme of things and not worth lying about if you're the article's author.

No, the Wash Post has an agenda and this article served that agenda. It was a lie. Just as other articles posted today have been proven wrong.

Ever think maybe the WH is playing disinformation games with the MSM? It's certainly a strategy I've used in business. I create a trustworthy source for my competition or find out who my competition has on the inside and feed a bunch of bogus **** through to them. The "source" never knows any different and by all accounts is reporting the truth. If I were Trump and Bannon, I'd be feeding tons of ******** to continue to destroy the credibility of the MSM.

It's getting comical at this point.
