Well, I think it's like watching a open-top washing machine. You see a lot of turmoil, spinning and grinding.

Somehow, a Blue jersey usually pops out the far end.

Seriously, that 5 yard TD run against New Mexico State was incredible. Might not have been our toughest opponent, but 7 had contact on Snell, and two had him dead to rights at the 4 yard line.

He has shown more determination and power than ANY back I can remember at UK, and I go back to Collins.

Put Benny and Boom back there together . Give the D something to really worry about. Benny and the the Jet.
yeah but then you are short and potential blocker and receiver,,CJ Conrad is a better blocker or receiver than either of them.

He's a keeper for sure! In the midst of all the talk over Stoops and the program it's been great to see a freshman emerge as probably one of the best. If we had the same level of talent at every position we'd being going down to 'Bama and kicking their butts.

I liked how Stoops this week described Rose. I think we will have some tough backs next year.

He reminds of the old Kool-aid commercials and the Kool-aid man.

I don't want Snell starting this year. I think he is the most complete back on the roster and the most reliable for positive yards, but I like him fresh in the 4th quarter. It has to be demoralizing and exhausting for a defense to chase Boom, and get physical with Kemp, only to see Snell come into the game in the mid 3rd to 4th quarter. I freakin love it!

Snell will have at least two more years to start. Right now he's best as a fresh bruiser. I can't wait to see him carry the load as a soph or junior!

I love Benny Snell Jr. If he can't get around you he lowers his head and delivers punishment to the LBs' and DB's

Benny is the main reason we are moving the ball on the ground and keeping opponent offense on sideline. Churning out so many 5 yard runs does keep the chains moving whereas Boom has the tendency to take some negative plays and puts us in tough down/distances. But a guy who forces his way to 3-4 yard gains keep the chains moving which is paying dividends on the OL and defense as a whole

Snell needs to get the most RB touches. Starting & playing early beats up a D to make the faster more maneuverable backs more effective. Boom doesn't wear anyone down. BSJ can handle playing early/playing late imo - fresh enough.

I am curious if he can catch a ball & operate in space.

I agree Boom doesn't wear anyone down phyiscally, but chasing him for 3 quarters has to be demoralizing and gas some guys. I just like the thought of Snell coming in late and finishing the game off. Nothing wrong with what you like as it works too, I would think.

Haven't seen the backs in the flat or wheel routes in a long time. I would like to see what he could do in that situation too.

He does a better job running downhill than Boom, as noted. However, Boom does seem to be getting the message a bit. I've noticed him appearing less tentative and improvisation prone lately, though he still has his moments of ill conceived lateral running. It is clear that Gran presses the twin pillars of (1) take care of the ball, (2) don't get us behind the chains gambling... no gain is generally preferred to a loss of 4 incurred trying in vain to work magic.

He needs more than that, and let's start CJ at HBack ? Doesn't matter who starts ? Really ?
Nope not one bit. Matters who finishes? The only position that it matters who starts is, cane you tell me? It is, yes THAT'S RIGHT QB. What if Boom starts and gets 5 carries and Snell gets 16 carries, did it really matter? Honestly does it matter if Boom plays first or Benny plays first? So to sum it up, IT DOES NOT MATTER ONE BIT WHO STARTS

Compare Harris numbers as a Freshman to Snell's, and there is no doubt Harris had the best line to run behind. I'm impressed with how many yards Snell gains after the first hit.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Yeah but the upside is Boom can go for 30 yard gains on any run.

Get off the short bus, if you think who plays the first play outside of QB position matters one bit you are retarded about football. I have seen guys start and get 3 carries, you argue like a 8 year old. i can't prove my point so i am going to say you are on drugs. Well you sir do not know football, I don't know what to tell you. Why don't you apply for the job when it comes open?
