OK..............the Nova / NC game was carried on Turner Network Television. Nova won and TNT talked about and showed what team on TV at the end of the game? North Carolina of course! At this point I can only wish that I had DVRed the Nova broadcast. It would be a blast to watch the second half being called by Nova homers.

Loved the move by the NC player around the 5 min mark that the announcer dubbed his "Euro Move". Obvious traveling they didn't call - watched again in slow motion and counted 4 steps. Not even allowed in Europe.

Ending of that game reminded me of our Sweet 16 game against Texas a few years back. Pittsnogle hits a three from the top of the key for the tie and in 5 seconds the Longhorns bury a deep three which sent me from elation to dejection. In that game there was not time out so it was definitely a quick emotional swing. I was working the night shift down in NC with a lot of Tarheel fans who said they were going to overtime after the circus three by Paige. I reminded them that there was still 4.7 seconds on the clock and the defense needed to be tight on everyone, but it was a forgone conclusion to them. Pretty weak defense by UNC coming out of a timeout in my opinion and sure enough it cost em big. Lots of complaints about the refs by the Tarheel faithful as well.
