has anyone ever spent money going to this place? A lot of my buddies are into haunted houses and stuff and we were thinking about going up to Louisville to check it out.

I'm not normally into haunted houses but down here in the hills there are a lot of run down houses that people say are haunted. I've been through all of them and not seen anything. I guess I just want to be scared shitless

Ive been to creepy places before. Did you see anything? I have never witnessed a ghost but a few of my friends SAY that they have. I am under the impression that some people can and some people can not.

I did a "midnight" tour one night, where we were basically let go to roam around the grounds for about 4-6 hours.

I dont really believe in ghosts, but I dont disbelieve either. They could exist, just dont really care anymore. If they exist cool, if not, cool.

We saw some cool stuff that could be attributed to ghosts or wind.

We experienced the ball moving from the little boy, but probably wind. We heard knocks when we asked if a ghost was present and if so, would they knock. It was a pretty creepy place. We walked into the chapel, without knowing where we were (it was dark) and the room had a different vibe than the rest. It felt safe. I asked what it was, guide said it was chapel. There was a lock swinging by itself with no wind or anyone around.

Thats about all I got. Im not saying it was a ghost(s), but it was neat going there, and spooky as hell.

I think ghosts are imaginary beings created by the feeble minded but I would like to see the place in the daytime. I read about it a few years ago and it's a lot bigger than people realize. The funny thing is that when ghost shows got big and the ownership of the property changed, it became "haunted".

We used to sneak in there as high school kids before they started doing tours. Back when there was broken glass and it wasn't cleaned up. Pretty creep place back then.

Better go soon if you are. They are talking about trying to turn it into a hotel. I don't know if I would want to stay at a place thousands of people died at.

When it comes to ghosts I'll take the agnostic route. I've never seen one but I've never seen anything that disproves some of these people that claim sightings. Bigfoot is one thing but this is not the same

Ghosts maybe fake, but that's not remotely true.

I remember syfy aired a special there on Halloween that was live and it was like 6 hours of "roll the ball timmy, come on, roll the ball".....nothing happened

Which leads to my next point, if ghosts are real, why don't they just come out and be like "yeah guys, we're here" and do like tv interviews and stuff. "Yeah been dead at least 150 years, been roaming this hall ever since"

I've been on the Midnight to 4:00am tour at Waverly 3 times. I never saw or heard anything. Going there for the haunted house would probably be fun though. The place is huge.

Are you talking about going there for the haunted house or doing the ghost tour? Have done the haunted house and while it's a very creepy place, it's ultimately just some rednecks with masks on trying to scare you.

Would suggest the ghost tour if you really want to see the place. As already mentioned, it's creepy. The body shoot is interesting as well.

Maybe they have rules and aren't supposed to tell of their existence. Could you imagine how much crap you would have to put up with if everyone knew you were there? You would have people trying to study you even more. You would have Hollywood people trying to get you to do scary movies. Every Halloween they would want you to do haunted houses. Then throw in the people that would be afraid and would want to have a real life Ghostbusters to hunt you down.

I have done a 6 hour tour, a four hour tour, the haunted house, and the mini tour that is an option instead of the haunted house. If doing the mini tour instead of the haunted house, be aware that the body chute is used in the haunted house and isn't part of that tour. The place is spooky as hell and prior to going there, I had never really believed in ghosts. After going, I must say I am a believer now. Saw, heard, and felt too many things there to not believe now. In the body chute which is pitch black on the 6 hour tour, we were given the option to walk to the bottom which I did, I was alone with no one around me and felt the coldest breath on my neck, a hand on my shoulder, and a whisper in my ear that said to get out...There was not a single soul around me as I immediately used my flashlight on my phone. I have heard the ball rolling from Timmy and seen the orbs as well.

Waverly Hills is considered one of, if not the most, haunted places in the world. Even if you aren't a believer, it is well worth the time to do one of the tours. I am going back again soon.

You are probably more likely to find paranormal activity in your own house over the course of days than staying a few hours at that place.

I've been there a few times on over night stays (and illegally in HS). I've witnessed 2 different incidents that could not be easily explained by wind, imagination through individual or manufactured group fear, lighting (flashlights or car headlights in the parking lot), or run of the mill sounds caused by a settling building.

1) Child laughter - Only 1 of 6 people there that night and no children was in that mix.

2) Summertime visit and I was in the death tunnel. It felt like it dropped to zero degrees. I was shaking from the temperature it was so cold. Afterwards I was nauseous.

So, yes I believe there are supernatural events at work sometimes.

-Peace

We go on after death. We've proved energy can not be destroyed. The question is, are we aware afterwards? Scientists were working on ways to tell if coma patients were still there or not and when to pull the plug and one thing they discovered is that everyone gives off an EMF and it seems to be unique to each person. That EMF is gone after the plug is pulled and they die.... strange indeed. Now take that bit of science into the ghost paranormal field and it really makes you think doesnt it?

Wife talked me into going and one of them somebitch haints followed us home. Dog and cat died, wife wrecked, my gall bladder burst and bout killed me, black mold took over the basement, tv, microwave and lamps shorted out at different times over the next few weeks. When I played a video game called Resident Evil3 downstairs in the basement all was fine, skip a day and the basement would fill up with flies in the dead of winter! I sold the video game at Game stop and I think the haint followed the video game. All has been well since.

If there are ghosts, or whatever, making noises or moving **** around, we should've seen legitimate evidence on video. I find it unusual that ghosts have done all this ****, made all this noise, etc...and have never been caught on camera. Are they just super shy? What about old *** ghosts...how do they even know what camera phones are? They wouldn't even know to hide from them.

Went on a midnight tour, several hours in, a banana flew across the room. There wasn't any produce stands, smoothie booths or orangutans around anywhere. Made me a believer.

Growing up, my next door neighbor had a dad who'd throw her into this big hole in their yard when she acted up.

I often think of how scary that might have been at her age.

Did he tell her to "put the effing lotion in the basket" and then dance around with his junk tucked?

Video evidence is the worst kind. you have to dismiss it immediately unless you were there to see it with your own eyes. Why? Because its too easy to fake video with editing and special effects.

I mean lets say there was an apparition ... 100% real caught on video today and showed on youtube. You'd never believe it was real. admit it.

If, after death, I am limited to only being able to roll a ball or blow on some neckbeard's ear hair, I'm going to be pissed.
