Loyola will Loyola, I expect MC to be very good. To be honest, I think you can switch around the bottom three, but that's just my take.

Way, way too early.

We're still talking about food and music.

Heard that our favorite Chuck E. Cheese in Oak Lawn is closing. Should put a dent in the cuisine scene down there.

They (Chuck E Cheese) dodged something terrible that occured in Norwalk, CA a few weeks ago. That's all the hints our host may allow.

Loyola is the class of the Blue yet again. MC should be solid but I'm not sold in the other 3, to be fair I haven't completely investigated what they're bringing back.

If Provi finishes last, I get the sense there will be great upheaval in New Lenox. This is supposed to be a strong Sr. class. After the last few years of not making the playoffs, another down year will bring out the crowds with pitchforks. Some of that has already been evident on the ol Edgyboard, prior to thread removals.

The Blue will be a total toss-up. Loyola lost a ton - yes they reload each year - but they lost way too much off their team (QB, Marwede, 4 of 5 on OL, all key WRs, K and Punter). Yes they return 4 on D, but many other teams do as well. Seriously every team has some really good players returning. You know MC will be hungry and return the best player in the Blue with Alek Thomas.

Rice has a solid base returning - granted losing Smalling (who ranks among one of the best ever in the Blue) is a huge hit (as are Houston, Lacy, Valladay and Borelli) but there are some good athletes and I am sure Rice is hungry too to show they can make a better run than last season. Richardson (the kicker) may be the one to make a difference in some of their games this year. Outside of the Blue, if Marist doesn't win the ESCC and get to 8A game I'd be shocked. They're loaded and a lot is expected for Dunne - if not this year he's in a pickle because his underclasses are mehh

You seem to be driving the Marist hype train hard this offseason. Also, I highly doubt Dunne would be in any kind of pickle no matter how this season turns out. He turned a program with zero football history into a a yearly playoff qualifier with a few deep runs included in there. And without knowing anything about the talent in their lower levels the marist website shows the sophs went 5-4 and frosh went 8-1 so seems to be at least some players in the building.

Dunne will not be on hot seat either way, but I am all in on Marist as well. There have a TON returning. They have McCabe and Teague returning on D who both have big time D1

also have lawlor and Meehan returning on D, have Ivy, Skalitski returning on O as the biggest targets last season as well as a returning QB in Markett or Taylor. Redhawks should be solid.

The Rice-Marist game should be a good one. As for the Blue, really no consensus AA type kid like Smalling on any of the teams. I'd say Alek Thomas is the best all around player

I would suppose there'd be some solid Junior to bes getting playing time. However you got guys like Maraczos (OT), Green (DE), Ruffin (DT), Richardson (K), Williams (RB-DB), Ervin (transfer in from Indiana) RB who are Seniors to be. But you got kids like Sullivan, Means, Kirtz, Connors, Summers, Bean, etc who are definetely going to see the field again (Sullivan and Means returning starters as Sophs). They will also bring up a Soph or two as well
