133: Braeden Davis, No. 8

141: Beau Bartlett, No. 2

149: Shayne Van Ness, No. 3

157: Tyler Kasak, No. 1

Caleb Henson of Virginia Tech is the No. 1 seed at 149. Ridge Lovett is No. 2. Shayne Van Ness is No. 3.

No. 3 Shayne Van Ness, Penn State vs. No. 30 Gabe Willochell, Wyoming

it's a good path for SVN, except for Lovett in the semis. Lots of dangerous wrestlers in the other quarter brackets of this weight.

Mesenbrink's first round:

165 pounds: No. 1 Mitchell Mesenbrink, Penn State vs. No. 33 Chandler Amaker, Central Michigan vs. No. 32 Jared Keslar, Pittsburgh

I don't see anyone beating Mitch for the title. Interesting that BearClaw would be his semi opponent if they wrestle to seed. Mitch vs. Cameron Amine in the quarter would be entertaining -- such different styles.

Overall, the PSU draws seem on target. Can’t really argue with any of them. Surprised Barr got the 4 Seed with his injury. Glad the committee gave him the benefit of the doubt and gave him credit for his record/tough wins. Like others said, hopefully he gets healthy by tournament time.

I'm with @FrankTanks -- this is an excellent draw for CStar. Not much concerns me until the final, assuming CStar wrestles like his usual self.

Josh Barr is No. 4 at 197:

197 pounds: No. 4 Josh Barr, PSU vs. No. 29 Tucker Hogan, Lehigh

We just don't know how Barr will be. As such, I hesitate to draw any conclusions. Beard in a potential quarter could be a challenge if Barr is limited. (Actually, several wrestlers could be a challenge if he can't attack in his normal manner due to his injury.)

Ferrari vs. Buchanan should be an interesting semi.

Beau Bartlett is No. 2 at 141. Brock Hardy is No. 1. First match for Beau:

No. 2 Beau Bartlett, PSU vs. No. 31 Jordan Titus, West Virginia
Excellent draw for Beau. Jamison could make him work in the quarters, but Mendez is the only real threat in the bottom half. Alirez and Happel both in the top half with Hardy.

McNeil could be a speed bump in the quarters. Guessing the coaches will have a plan for Lovett in the semis if they both make it that far.

Parco got no favors for being on Henson's side -- he gets Paniro in the quarters.
