Sterling 49 - Rock Island 7: Rocky came out on it's opening drive and drove the ball 14 plays into the endzone. After that, it was all Sterling as the Golden Warriors would take the next kick off to the house and then open up on poor Rocky. The win should give Sterling a first round bye. Rocky has it's first winless season ever.
Geneseo 46 - Quincy 22: Quincy had no answers for Geneseo's running game which would rush for just shy of 400 yards. Geneseo would also not attempt one pass and would lead at the half 31-7. Quincy would mount somewhat of a comeback in the second half, making it 39-22 at the end of three, but that is the closest they would come.
Moline 49 – Galesburg 20: Outside of Galesburg's opening drive when they drove the ball for 8 minutes to take a 7-0, this game was all Moline. Galesburg was without the services of it's starting Quarterback and Running back and it showed as Moline would put the clamps down. Moline would rush for 303 yards and race to a 49-7 lead before Galesburg would score twice in garbage time.
United Township received a forfeit win over Alleman.
With the new playoff set up, everyone except Rock Island is in and will get to play one more week. Funny thing is, even if it was the old system, everyone but Rock Island might have gotten in anyways.
Current standing: Sterling and Moline end up as Co-Champs...though Sterling does have the head-to-head win.
Sterling 7-2 (5-1)
Moline 6-3 (5-1)
Quincy 6-3 (3-3)
Geneseo 6-3 (3-3)
United Township 5-4 (3-3)
Galesburg 4-5 (2-4)
Rock Island 0-9 (0-6)
