Good to finally see them ranked. Hopefully, they'll be ranked for the rest of the season.

Still behind Maryland and IU, both of whom NU beat.......and NU has 2 fewer losses than either of them..

Polls suck. Glad they play off for championships.

I'm onboard! I subscribed to BTN+ before the game yesterday. Scheid went 6-for-6 beyond the arc! Pulliam bounced back after a couple rough outings. Burton is a great defender. Wolf is one of the better B1G centers with great touch around the basket. Really fun team to watch with an outstanding starting 5 and legitimate depth to 8 or 9.

I am excited to follow every game from here on out!

Back when they had some talent but still gave the ball away a ton, I found them hard to watch. This team takes care of the ball and is fun to watch.

Let's root for a #4 seed or better, which would mean that the Lady Cats host the 1st round of the NCAA tournament in Welsh-Ryan!

Sorry to get all PC on you but they're called Wildcats. Do you call the men's team the Gentleman Cats?

You're not sorry at all.

The only reason I would even acknowledge such a distinction be made is that the name "Lady Cats" is (was?) the name of the dance team. I'm not sure if NU even has the dance team anymore. But other than that, I don't really care if somebody calls a women's team the "Lady Cats."

Out of respect, we should certainly call them what they want to be called. I'm pretty sure it's not "Lady Cats". I'll go with "The first place NU women's basketball team".

How noble of you to take offense on their behalf. Of the indignity of the word "lady," at that!

My guess as to why IU is rated higher is that they defeated South Carolina, now rated No. 1. Pretty amazing win. The athleticism, skill and size of the very top teams appears to be a step above the Big Ten.
