USA in trouble

Not just against Italy but in danger of not advancing with every run Italy scores.

Better hope Italy beats Mexico

Unless an epic comeback is in the works

Embarrassing performance all around, but especially from the offense. What was that, 10 innings in a row without a run until the Henderson homer?

Fire DeRosa if we make it past the knock out round.. He thought we had Quarterfinals locked up and put out a lineup like he was a ******* rec team manager.. What a joke.. Italy better win tonight

His backup CF was the only reason they even had a shot. Harper struck out 3x in a row vs Mexico and has generally looked bad at the plate. Raleigh hasn't done anything. Turang should have been in there but he did get in there early. And his backup 3B hit a Homer too, so I don't think it mattered a ton.

Just a fantastic game/tourney for Royals fans! BWJ looking like the best player on the planet. Jac hitting a bomb and getting on base 4 times. Vinnie playing unreal defense at first.

Yeah, Derosa looks like an idiot. He clearly did not know the tiebreaker rules. Team USA continues to be hamstrung by prima donna pitchers that won't participate. No way McLean should be starting game for Team USA.

Hitting with guys in scoring position was an issue through 3 games. That didn't change last night

Italy up 5-0 bottom 5

If game ends in 9 then USA is in, Italy win or Mexico scoring enough to win at this point

Yes! Hopefully offense can get off to a better start this season and outfielders figure out how to hit.... Bobby is sooo damn good, can't keep wasting his prime.

Smith will likely be the starter Sunday. I'd move Turang up but PCA is a good 9 in this lineup. No way he moves Harper that far down

I know he won't. He'll probably still be batting 2nd, even though he's hitting .150 and has struck out a bunch, while Pete is hitting .357 with 2 homers and 3 other balls that just missed being homers.

Venezuela having a lot of fun. Same with Italy. That will be a fun one, as will tomorrow.
