Not hard to do when their top competition is a D3 school.
Yeah we're f***ed once all the other major schools with their money and facilities start taking women's wrestling seriously, so we should just enjoy this while we can...........................................

We are and will be the standard that others will chase, other schools have very rich deep histories because they've been the standard bearers of the sport without our existence. But there's specific reasons we wil be the top program regardless.

We have Clarissa Chun, Tonya Verbeek and most importantly Gary Mayabb. We get the best wrestlers that fit the program and culture. And by far, Everest Leydecker will raise our program and profile even higher. She's generational.

I think she is special but this generation already has Kennedy Blades and Kylie Welker so it’s getting crowded. Hope and exp

I think you're looking at what im saying differently than what I'm trying to explain and that's fine. Blades and Welker were already established upper weights internationally when we were just becoming a thought of a program. Everest is arguably the best 55 kg in the country at 17 years old and will soon be the best in the world IMHO. And you could say she's pfp the best wrestler in the US regardless of any weight, in any class. I guess that's where I'm going and understand and appreciate what you're saying. There's just a different view with her being one face of many wonderful faces in the Hawkeye wrestling program. Its just a completely different time and vibe as a program for the women and Everest will lead it to even newer heights. Spencer Lee vibes I get with her. Jmho.

I never click on Show Ignored Content.

If you equate time to money, it makes it so much faster to get thru here without largely the PSU drivel, people are now calling me Warren Buffett. 😂
If you save all this time and have all this money for the love of God hire a coach who can teach wrestling. Buy some athletes, or at least some steroids.

There’s only one person who has a true argument for generational and it’s neither of those two. Amit Elor has 3 senior titles including an Olympic gold, and 8 world titles overall and is still just 22.

Elor is on another level to be sure.
