PSU hasn't demonstrated they're a top 25 team. They could be in danger against Northwestern this week. They're in very serious danger at Iowa City. Here's where we see if Franklin's psychology degree comes in handy because has to work some magic with these kids. They're not going to be a playoff team so how do they get motivated for the rest of the season? Will they believe the whole 1-0 language.
CJF needs to do some self reflection....and realize maybe he isn't the only coach who knows everything. I do not believe our team was ready to play against a quality team. I agree with the poster that said we should have 2 cash games every year....and the 3rd OOC could be a home and home with a better team to assess the execution of assignments....and still achieve the needed 7 home games. (Years we have 5 home B1G games you do away OOC)
The team lost to the worst P 4 team.
New Mexico gained more rushing yards I believe then PSU did.
As Tangwell pointed out in his postgame, ucla ranked 125 or worse in pretty much every category measured. Only 136 teams.
Let that sink in.
Maybe a December 28 bowl game with Texas is in our future.
What are you talking about, PSU hasn't beaten a team with a pulse all season and sits at 3-2 and you think that's top 25 worthy? wow
Their only hope would be to install the Wishbone just for this game. They have the RBs for it.
It would get some publicity and the team needs a new look.
What could go wrong? Lose?
Their opponents from here on out are smelling blood in the water. They would be lucky to go 6-6.
Plus the team has real actual problems on offense (the OL, contrary to expectations, just isn't stable and not playing well) and defense (a player short at LB, DE and DT right now). I think the losses the last two weeks have to be laid at the feet of the coaches, but there are real personnel weaknesses on the team that are not what people expected.
