Wow - he’s ranked 400th and still a four star? What is the ranking of the lowest four star?
I know they’ve been talking about lowering it to 350 or maybe even 300. There are pros and cons on both sides. There are a bunch of four-star players outside the Rivals250 and the Top247, but I don’t believe they go as high as 400.
High 3/low 4 kid with a good offer list and some upside. I think he ends up at S. Good get!

If Poindexter wants him then so do I....
He looks like a great prospect; but, having about 330 4* players in the On3 ranking is way too many (especially when you consider there are only 32 five star prospects). I think it should be closer to 250.
Or you get the best available. OBVIOUSLY., PSU is not getting the higher-rated kids.
Big Ten teams with *committed* five star prospects (there are 32 five star prospects in the On3 ranking):
Ohio State - 3 (two in the top ten)
Oregon - 1
USC - 1
All these schools are also in it for other 5* players, but the bulk of them are down to SEC schools (Texas, LSU, Georgia, Bama).
PSU's highest ranked player for 2025 is the recent DB commit from California (#135).

Not much he or anyone else can do compared to the top five or six juggernaut programs (Bama, Georgia, LSU, Texas, OSU, A&M) at least where it concerns recruiting.
Should just go full minor league with a draft. CFB is the least 'fair' major sport in America.
Agree that all sports should have the same draft process where they can draft these kids out of high school and play them in a minor league for a couple years, but that would cost money so the NFL will never let that happen when they can get development for free by colleges
I don't know why all sports aren't like the NFL - salary cap and draft (and franchise tag) has made it the best sport to watch for a long, long time. Baseball is terrible because of no salary cap and basketball is boring because of height

Lots of people if they 'played for a school'. Why does anyone root for Penn State or Michigan or Alabama? Those rosters aren't filled with kids from those states. They're hired guns; just like any professional league. Call it what it is and level the paying field.
Very few, that’s why I said the NFL will never do it. Same reason that major league baseball caught a bunch of minor-league teams two years ago and shorten the draft, was getting too expensive for them to keep that many teams and players.
They already watch college football as minor league football. Changing the way the rosters are built wouldn't impact that in the slightest. No one cares about how they get players now.

Agree but the NFL won't subsidize college sports. That said, some NFL teams are subsidizing Gay Flag Football.
