Last year we went 0-5 our first 5 games and 3-3 in our last 6 (no, I'm not including B-CU). We went from averaging 22 points per game to 34. We went from giving up 39 points per game to 28. More importantly though, since the Wisconsin game and including this year, we have only lost a single game (OSU) by more than a field goal and that was by 5. Our stats this year are tracking similar to those from the 2nd half of last year. We are scoring 38 per game and giving up 25 per game.
So it might be slow and steady and full of errors and could obviously be better, but it is still progress. 3 of those 4 close losses were on the road (ok, you can argue that CU was a home game as well). This team is getting better.
