I think most people who seem to be overly critical aren't thinking in terms of SEC wins and being 19-0. They seem (to me) to be thinking more about the tough and tight games to come. And I've really got no problem with that. It's all about context and through modern day messaging context is hard to interpret. All it takes is one person missing the real context and a mob mentailty creates a situation that shuts down any debate; It's really stupid. When a sports team is chanpionship caliber they will be judged by that reality. Being 19-0 isn't a championship.

I'm personally glad to have both Harrison's. The final four aside, they add depth and create matchup issues for us this season; that is just more reasoning as to why we are 19-0. Teams hold practices for game preparation. Having to worry about Andrew means less time to work on ulis and vise versa. We have it made right.

Does that mean andrew doesn't have some things he's got to work out; not just for UK but for the NBA as well? No. The constant misses pertaining to his passing has got to clean up for one.

The golden mean. Find the concepts that are in the middle with Andrew and you'll probably find the answer.

Sad thing is if they had to go back and chose again I bet it wouldn't be UK. Our self proclaimed 'BBN' isn't that great. We tend to eat our own. Half assed arm chair athletes and coaches ragging on teenagers.

Honest question: do you criticize players from other teams? Or do you make this statement when someone on this board criticizes a player from another team (Harrell for example)?

sure, because kentucky fans were the main reason I'm coming to UK? No.

Kentucky fans are great. I've seen (maybe) 3 posters have issues beyond what hey should. People like you make it out way way worse than it is.

I mean what is it with some of you who read 20 threads devoting absolute love to a player, then post how awful MOST FANS are? It's ridiculous. Learn some context of how many people are actually over the top. And criticizing a players play isn't stupid or bashing.

Context and meaning is this boards biggest problem, not bad fans.

We are very fortunate to have Andrew no question. We are also fortunate to have 8 other McDonald All Americans to play with him plus a terrific coach. No need to carp on our own players in a public forum. It makes our fan base look petulant and ridiculous, something outside sports commentators and rival coaches who despise UK love to seize upon. Let's stay classy.

Agree completely. And the idiots don't just do it on this forum, they do it on Twitter and on the radio which reaches even bigger audiences.

there's zero wrong with debate or saying Andrew needs to this or that bette but some morons are saying stuff like Hawkins is better or are doing what kumar does and pollute threads that have zero to do with andrew with his andrew hate . there is no room for that . Reasonable debate ? sure . That nonsense , no.

So would rather see it here on some goof directly Tweeting them. Personally I'd rather see it here, since it is a message board, ya know, than idiots directly Tweeting them

Yea cane I mean Hawkins is no harrison that's for sure. Hawkins is damn good though.

I do think it's a tiny fraction saying some over the top takes but it seems like some posters drag it out like its "lots of posters".

We have an excellent and classy fanbase. I disagree with anyone who doesn't believe it.

I wasn't even thinking about dolts directly tweeting players! Was just thinking in terms of people with tons of followers and retweets and responses to media members, it's much more mainstream. Then considering most people have actual pics of themselves in UK gear, it leaves a greater impression than the loonies here hiding behind complete anonymity.

I'm just thrilled we have 9 outstanding players! I think some forget, or just fail to realize that the Harrison's are two of the reasons Ulis and Booker are doing as well as they are. They play against each other in practice, and they make teams prepare for all four guards. We have a great team.

Andrew Harrison is a solid college PG, no question. The criticism he receives is relative to the hype he received as a top 5 prospect coming into college, in my opinion. Most UK fans thought Andrew Harrison would be of the caliber of a Derek Rose, John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, or Brandon Knight. I am sure Andrew thought he would be the next great PG too. Thus far, he has been good but not elite. Is the criticism unfair? Sure. However, I think it's important to remember the root of the criticism. It certainly does not mean the vast majority of UK fans do not like nor want Andrew on their team -- his importance is realized by most despite the perceived unfair criticism at times.

Andrew is plenty hard enough on himself. He doesn't need help from us.
Keep your head up Andrew. Better days ahead for you. What did that GREEN BAY QB say..........Relax.

Don't disagree but I think at times this board is either full of A) trolls or B) not that intelligent basketball fans ( or maybe C) smart fans posting out of emotion)
