Why do some bowls keep the original name plus the sponsor ala the Capital One Orange Bowl, yet other bowls ala the Tax Slayer Bowl have totally removed the original name ie Gator Bowl?
To me its stupid to not keep your roots.

Well with NYD Six Bowl is a requirement that your Original Name is part of the Bowl Title...that why the Peach Bowl went back to it Original Name instead of just being the Chick Fil-A Bowl...now the Chick Fil-A Peach Bowl.

That the one thing the Citrus Bowl did....when they lost the Capitol One Sponsorship they went back to their name and just added the Corporate Sponsorship to it...wish all Bowls-(at least the Traditional Ones) would do this. Nothing wrong with the Taxslayer Gator Bowl...
