We found our point guard tonight!
Simpson can penetrate the defense, cut down on team turnovers, dish outside for open jumpers, and score on layups, mid-range and outside shots, and convert foul shots.

I feel better that we can return to a balanced offense.

Your thoughts?

I think it’s a bit of an overreaction. We’ll need both Simpson and Mulcahy but I’m very glad Simpson stepped up tonight. It’ll be good for Paul to be off the ball a little. He was money from the corner 3 when Geo would create. Simpson definitely adds a new dimension to the offense (kind of like a Jacob Young).

Exactly.

I’m really excited for Simpsons future as he brings a level of speed and quickness that is verrry hard to find.

With that said - let’s pump the brakes. If we were going to make any type of run in the tourney we will need Paul to shake off whatever funk he is in a be a contributor on both sides of the court.

Yep. And let's not forget the way he took it to MSU down the stretch at the Garden

Simpson was unbelievable but as I said in another thread. Remember Indiana. Doesn't mean he will play this well rest of season. If he does we are in amazing shape but expecting this every night is unfair to Simpson at this point

If he can play half this good I'll take kt

Have to laugh. Simpson made some big buckets tonight. He also took 14 shots and missed 8 of them. And as late as last week against Nebraska he looked like the same deer in the headlights that he was against Temple. Now we’re throwing Mulcahy on the scrap heap and Simpson is Isiah Thomas. Oy vey. Just hoping he continues to contribute, shoot less, make more, and occasionally pass.
