If your talking about holding Cruz to less yards this time? the yes. I think we all knew that would be the case mainly because(as everyone could see) #3 was hurt. If your talking about Him never losing to us again, then No.

Just curious where all the "bandwagon" rv fans are hiding out. Im not talking about your regular posters either. A lot of new accounts over that 4 game winning streak over the Dogs. Funny how they all pulled a Houdini and disappeared.

As always, it is a great thing to beat Murphy. However it is expected of Murphy to be good year in and year out. They have more kids than any other school other than Swain. Heck even swain is having a bad year this year. It's pointless for a Murphy fan to even bring that up when this year they will finally get a taste of their own medicine if they move up to 1aa.

What do you mean? Murphy played Franklin, Gilmer, and Hendersonville in the non conference this year. They play big schools every year. They win some, they lose some. Murphy has played in the 1aa playoffs before. They will be okay. One thing's for sure, you won't see their fans crying about playing bigger schools. Can't say the same for certain fans of other teams.

Swain might have a down year, but don't look at just their record and say that. Our first games were against tough competition as well. You won't see Rabun Gap or Murphy's early college on our schedule.

No doubt Swain has had a tough year with their schedule. You're right though nole you won't complain about schools being bigger. But bringing in 200 more kids than most other schools around here means you have 200 more to choose from, therefore you should be able to compete with schools bigger than you. Take my alma mater.. Andrews. In 2011 and 2012 we had a team that could have placed 2nd in conference behind swain.. played Murphy close in thr regular season with a chance to win. Since that class graduated we have been down hill bad and probably will be until the jv class gets up to varsity. Numbers do matter. I know ultimately it's up to the coach and players and how much effort and heart the have for the game and put into it. But every now and then you can't deny that numbers play a part. We have 6 years to rebuild to Murphy and Swains 1 or 2. Not knocking Murphy or swain at all. Love to see smc teams go deep no matter who it is.

You're right. Numbers absolutely matter. Bigger schools definitely have an advantage. All I was saying was that Murphy won't be shell shocked being in the 1aa playoffs since they play teams bigger than them every year in the non conference. It will definitely be harder for them to advance through the 1aa playoffs than it would be through the 1a playoffs. No doubt about it.

Some Years it's hard to tell the difference in the competition between 1a and 1aa. Without Murphy the 1a will be down some
