Seriously, I agree with those who noted this was a fair and appropriate seeding.

NU is the highest seeded first time team in the NCAA since Seton Hall in 1988. The Pirates went to the Final Four the following year. Hope the trend continues.....

I think how this works is that first, we piss and moan about our seeding and how we got no respect from the committee, which is clearly biased in favor of the ACC, the SEC and the Big East because of the east coast media and of course ESPN.

Then, as we win while some of these higher-seeded teams lose, we thump our chests, and point to their losses as proof.

We do this every single round until we lose.

Then...we blame the refs.

At least I think that's how this is supposed to work.

All you had to do was listen to Jim Boeheim whining on ESPN a little while ago and you would have all the excuses you would ever need.

This probably more true than we will ever want to admit in the future. What a wonderful sounding future.

I remember following that run on WFAN. I didn't know '88 was their first.
