I'm hearing that either Sunday, or Monday, Trump is going to use the Stafford Act and place the entire country on a 2 week lock down.

Have heard this all week, but heard it again this evening from someone working with Capitol Hill.

Stafford Act would only be a reccomendation. State would have to enforce it. Only Martial Law would give the Federal Government the authority to be able to enforce that.

I've heard it also. With options for longer...

I'm starting my third straight week working 100% from home. My office has set up a 2 week work rotation but I've declined doing it due to circumstances. All client travel has been canceled through May.

Biggest inconvenience in my life to date other than no sports is no going to the gym and no golf.

Don't know why I liked no golf. We're playing, why not be outside? We walked 9 and could take separate carts if we want. Yesterday I saw a convoy of 5 carts on #9 tee as I came in to play 9.

I hike around the campground after work or us guys working hang around the fire & drink but we try not & get close .....but in construction it's almost impossible to stay 6 feet apart ...it takes 2 to lift heavy small objects (1" thick steal plate is very heavy even 2' ×2').....but none of us even before getting grounded went out much ...

Was rained out today so I ventured into the stop &shop in freehold NJ, things seemed to be slowing getting restocked , still no TP but I have plenty, was able to buy a couple steaks & some ribs a pack of burger meat , & all things I needed for my work week...they have limits in place for just about everything. People are staying clear of others with just a closed lip smile & a head knod....hard for me I have a HOWDY doody smile ...

I have to be more careful than a "normal and healthy" individual. So, my household is limiting any exposure to anything that is strictly voluntary as an option. In general, if one is careful I think golf would be a great way to spend time and won't criticize others that play if they are doing it responsibly a smart.

Went to the store last night. It's a sad commentary on our society when you want into a grocery store right now. We're trying to buy for two (our family and our sick friend and her son) and some items are just impossible to find. Since when did people start eating eggs so heavily again?!

What's frustrating though are the people making no attempt at distancing. Kids are starting to get stir crazy. My oldest wants to go play golf, so we told him he can play by himself, and has to walk.

I think that has to do partly with those thinking this is a hoax. My wife is a teacher and is home, like all other teachers, and she's decided to take this time to clean every square inch of our house. She decided to clean behind the washer and dryer and in doing so broke the dryer hose. So I went to Lowe's for a new one and the Lowe's dude came right up to me close and I kept walking backward to keep some distance. I said, 'a little space please' and his response was 'Oh, you're one of those'.....

The sooner people do this the sooner this shall pass. Just requires being a little unselfish. Our enemies are watching our response and God forbid they release a deadly bioweapon someday.

Anarchist and idiots doing their thing and making crap worse.

Six ambulances have had their tyres deliberately punctured in Kent, in what must be one of the more depressing acts of mindlessness during the outbreak.

The South East Coast ambulance service said the vehicles were targeted overnight in Thanet, adding the strain of its staff, who were already under “significant pressure”.

The MP Tracey Crouch described whoever did it as “an utter scroat”:

I fully agree which is why I preached on another thread that many either don't know or they don't want to believe the guidance and several board members attacked my comments like they always do, mostly because of the name on the post and their constant butthurt that has been going on for years.

Lot of IM's going on with work this morning. Many people not doing the right things as letting their kids go to birthday parties, one of my golf buddies allowed his 5 year old daughter play a golf tournament with a full crowd of parents following and interacting, others going to bars that are open and several other things.

Like I said before, need constant communication of practicing proper behavior getting into the public in a non-political manner and when out, practice the behavior wisely and non-confrontational but set your boundaries with others that are less responsible. This isn't a political commentary but a public health one.

Michigan will likely be going on a shut-down today. Whitmer is addressing it at 11:00 today, so most are expecting a shut-down. I'm 100% certain where I'm employed, we'll be deemed as essential, so we'll likely continue to stay open as a manufacturer.

I was atbthe store yesterday, just trying to get some standard stuff. We hadn't been to the store in over a week with 2 adults and 2 littles to feed. Produce was well stocked. Bread was available. The fresh meat section was fairly well stocked. There wasn't a bag of flour, a packet of yeast, or a frozen vegetable to be found though. Some lady in the baking aisle was looking for brown sugar (who isn't though). I pointed her to molasses, told her she could make her own. The things people hoard strike me as odd. Who need multiple packages of brown sugar to weather this? Who needs a years supply of tp? People are strange.

I'll add that I saw a handful of folks in the store wearing masks. My stance on that is that they are either symptomatic or they are afraid. Whichever they are, just stay home.

If wearing a mask helps people feel better psychological, then ok. But they are quite ignorant for the most part. The mask isn't going to prevent them from getting the virus and in fact, taking that mask off their face using their hands will cause more damage than the possibility of breathing in the virus out of the air.

I would prefer they give their stockpile of masks to healthcare professionals that are treating the sick. But that is my useless opinion.

Makes room for more serious criminals if needed. However people should watch their area to make sure this isn't being taking advantage of and hold them accountable when this is over.
