having Amari and Garrison in the second half actually made sense. We needed defense and both played better on defsense than Carr or Almanor.

Substitution this game made sense, minus starting JR and Butler. I would have protected them more. Hopefully , JR wrist is okay.

I’m surprised Almonor didn’t get any run. Chandler needs consistency but he’s been big lately.
Only going to help this team. Pope's been saying for a bit in the post game pressers about being hamstrung with the lineups due to the injuries. Ansley had a heck of wrap around the defender bounce pass to Jax for a layup. I've been pleased with Chandler the last few games. He was off in this one.

Oweh went nuts thankfully. Saved the day and got the win. I do not understand how UK continues to struggle against these lower level SEC teams

I was kinda pissed during the game , get caught up in the moment and say something without thinking it thru ... but with JR out , Lamont fouled out Coach is really limited on who he can run out there . It also cant be argued that the starters have had great starts in half 1 only to have the bench give it all away . We go Perry-Noah - Chandler - Garrison combo's especially on the road and they just get abused , teams attack with the dribble and we cant defend . I'm still of the mindset with all the stoppages of play and the amount of FT's and time outs guys shouldn't need hardly any subbing . But I'm old school as hell. The Vandy-Buzz game had me in a fit before we were ever able to see a minute of our game .. 2 hours and 41 minutes of 75 FT's and trash ball.

Most agree Pope kinda forces Chandler into games . Yes he has improved . Yes he has shown flashes of being able to guard . But on the road he struggles badly . And we had him in there late in critical times. Last night he was terrible.

Love all these arm chair QB's who are such successful coaches.
This lower level SEC team just beat Mississippi State and was a desperate team needing a win to keep NCAA Tourney hopes alive. They are definitely on the bubble and fighting for their Tourney lives at home. Haven't you figured out no game on the road in the SEC is a sure thing this year. Got the win and get out of town. Good enough.

Dudes the man is managing a team riddled with injuries trying to avoid additional injuries. Hes been forced to go deeper into his bench to give second stringers breaks. You play the same 5 guys 40 minutes you set yourself up for additional injuries. Then factor in foul trouble and you get what you get. I’m not faulting Pope for doing what he has to do.

83 pts on the road with a thrown together lineup that’s shorthanded to boot and somehow Pope needed more offense. You cant make this stuff up.

There are some respectable posters in this thread who posted some high level moronic stuff last night during the game.
Sweet baby Jesus, pope had his starting backcourt back but knew they would be limited on minutes as he is working them back in. He is trying to figure who off the bench is going to bring it on any given night.
If pope listened to the board he would not have played Garrison one min tonight and yet he balled out of his *** and was one of the main reasons we just won on the road against a dirty *** team in a super intense game. Love the win!!!
You Monday morning QB’s should too!

Oweh would have ridden the pine the entire 2nd half based on the gamethread, lol. Posting dumb stuff I can deal with, but doing it over and over and never growing up is some sad stuff.

I prob teetered on that line , SMH , I think the Vandy-AM slugfest ******** played into it , I was freaking furious before we ever got a minute broadcasted . Lost near 10 minutes of the first half , then several bad things did happen, OO was BAD in half 1 , Brea wouldnt defend the 3 , Butler only plays 20 min due to sub patterns and foul trouble , it just looked like a game we were going to piss away , THANKFULLY OO goes nuts and refuses to lose in last 10 minutes . Garrison played great no complaints from me at all . Carr wasnt doing much . Crazy that teams consistently bring their A game against us ( except UT ha ha ) . OU was hitting 3s way above their average .

Glad to see Brea grab 7 rebounds and a few assists. Especially on a night when he wasn’t shooting it very well.
