Hung in, shot well enough. Corey stepped up and Eugene came up big several times. A lot of good things happened. I know Wiscy is down but they had won 5 in a row so this was a very good win

IMHO:

If - and it's a BIG "if" - we can find a way to extend those 5-7 point leads, to 10-12+, then YES we can. Otherwise, unfortunately, veteran/better teams are going to likely split those type of games with us. Can we do that? I think so. I hope so. Let's see!

Funny. We lose a couple of games -- admittedly horrific ones -- and we're screwed. Win one at home against a team not having a great year, and all of a sudden we're writing in every home game as a win. In ink.

Thrilled with the win, but this team just isn't good enough or consistent enough to assume anything. So I will not predict how they get to a winning record. Somehow they'll do it.

I didn't even bother looking at this board until, IIRC, yesterday. No need to put myself through that the nonsense knowing that - for once - these are positive "growing pains" as much as they suck sometimes!

We could have 11 with losses to Seton Hall and Wisconsin and wins over Hartford and Stony Brook and the overall vibe of the program would be nothing but despondent because all of the win would be "soft wins" and inability to close out against real programs....I'm 100% fine with where we stand, because we closed tonight's game out, which will bode well down the road.

If we make a couple more FT's and Baker makes that layup and you take away that 3 at the end to make the final spread 4, this balloons to a double digit win, without needing Corey's big shots at the end.

Excellent post. I stated elsewhere this is all about "growth" to me and closing this one out after blowing a 7-point lead - following the last 2 home losses - was huge IMHO.
