We may be flawed and lacking talent, but we are not an easy out. Proud of our guys.
Agreed to keep it that close with so many turnovers is a good sign and although the refs called a good game that call in Ogbole on the clean block down the stretch killed usBasketball is fun to watch. Those were my only hopes for this season.
They're getting better, the freshman are more comfortable, Buchanan found his role, Grant got sick and lost his rhythm, but he'll find it.
It sucks to lose but they're competing. Minimize the mistakes and they can win these type of games. Need to stay within 5 in the first 20, they really are much better the second half
I always complain on here but my takeaway is all positive tonight.
I was SCREAMING at home on that call.Agreed to keep it that close with so many turnovers is a good sign and although the refs called a good game that call in Ogbole on the clean block down the stretch killed us
I’m the opposite! I’ve been really happy at a lot of close wins against bad teams but I thought they looked bad tonight. It didn’t help that three starters had zero points.I'm always complaining on here but my takeaway is all positive tonight.

Obvious foul as the announcer stated. Ogbole had his other hand on the guy as he went up with the shot.I was SCREAMING at home on that call.
Disagree. On this team, starting doesn‘t matter re: players not scoring. Often the better players don’t start so it doesn‘t matter that the 3 put up zeros.I’m the opposite! This team blows. Nothing to be proud of. The entire program needs a reboot (coaches and players).I was very proud of the kids tonight. They played really hard. Ultimately what did them in were the 18 TO’s. Iowa scored 15+ points off our TO’s.
Any good freshman will be gone next season, especially if Pike is still around. This team is a waste of time.I appreciated the effort and like what I see from the freshmen
however they need to win more than a couple of these to give reason to run it back
Add in Powers, another one to watch, and a healthy Grant who needs to assert himself again.I try to be optimistic; especially when I spend plenty of time watching the product. But - we have a few individuals who I would like to see next season; but this is not a team that is going anywhere. But I'll still be watching - and I appreciate that players like Buchanan, Francis & Mark (and even EO) look better and look like they want to compete.
Zrno can get hot so I would bring him in for a few minutes each game to see if he’s on. Badalau on the other hand isn’t giving us much of anything to warrant any PT.The five I want to see on the floor most of the time are Francis, JMike, Powers, Grant, and Ogbole (just because his size can cause problems). With Mark, Buchanan, and Dortch spelling the others. Maybe Nwuli at times. Keep the euros glued to the bench.
Well knowing how Pike subs you have this team in the court for first 5mins and a lot can happen during that stretch which we typically find ourselves in a hole…why allow that when others are outplaying them?Disagree. On this team, starting doesn‘t matter re: players not scoring. Often the better players don’t start so it doesn‘t matter that the 3 put up zeros.
Large part of today’s issues are the portal. We may be seeing this team growing together while still taking their lumps but we have zero idea who is saying or going next season.I try to be optimistic; especially when I spend plenty of time watching the product. It’s very clear that Pikes system(may be a stretch) depends heavily on a center. His defense is predicated on it. Over the past few years teams are scoring way too easily in the paint or being left wide open for 3s due to collapsing defense.
his goal should spend a lot of money on a center and a taller shooting guard/forward.
Being competitive on the road is a start but they are figuring it out.I wish they would find a way to execute down the stretch, but am glad they played tough on the road.
I know that was a typo but please God no!I think the team has rallied admirably from that stretch between CCSU and Del St. They’re playing hard and they do seem to be working at getting better — our best adjusted offensive performance was against Wisconsin and best defensive performance was against Iowa.
Obviously, they stink overall. But if you’re still watching at this point, I feel like the players, and to an extend Pike, have done all you can ask for since Jan. 1
JMike should never put sneakers on ! He offers ZERO upside and time to move on.The five I want to see on the floor most of the time are Francis, JMike, Powers, Grant, and Ogbole (just because his size can cause problems). With Mark, Buchanan, and Dortch spelling the others. Maybe Nwuli at times. Keep the euros glued to the bench.
So, you’re only a fan if we have a good team? Wouldn’t that mean you should hit the portal?Pikes time is over or are fan base needs to hit the transfer portal.
We are 19 games in with a losing record and we are creating threads now waxing poetic about a team who lost again.
We have gotten to a point where individuals are happy/justifying losts because we “looked” a little better.
Fire Cashman! This team blows. Nothing to be proud of. The entire program needs a reboot (coaches and players).

I want to see Powers for development purposes, but he's awful defensively and still shooting poorlyAdd in Powers, another one to watch, and a healthy Grant who needs to assert himself again.
Yeah, but everyone knew it was going to be a losing team, we were just hoping they would be scrappy enough to be worth rooting for. That's all anyone is happy about.Pikes time is over or are fan base needs to hit the transfer portal.

You have to play Buchanan over 1 of the 3 guards when we play 3 guards we get absolutely killed on the boardsThe five I want to see on the floor most of the time are Francis, JMike, Powers, Grant, and Ogbole (just because his size can cause problems). We also basically need a stretch wing who can shoot the 3 or any player who can shoot the 3!!! but we definitely needed if not a center he needed a good rebounding power forward which we didn't get obviouslyLarge part of today’s issues are the portal. True hit doesn’t mean it’s acceptable or that there shouldn’t be accountability on the head coach for constructing a team of this caliberYeah, but everyone knew it was going to be a losing team, we were just hoping they would be scrappy enough to be worth rooting for. That's all anyone is happy about.
