I just think winning against a top opponent will A) give the fans hope, there clearly is none B) Get the team more confidence, some games we flat out don't show up. And i believe there is solid talent on this team. C) Gives Stoops more slack saying we can compete with the best, instead of we play the season to go 6-6.
Lets be honest we UK fball fans arent going into the season thinking we will be in the thick of the SEC, the casual fan wants to be competitive and pull off an upset every once in a while. 6-6 is a good year at Kentucky, 7-5 is deemed a great year. 8-4 and people will go Bizerk.

Show some improvement. Do not fold. Make adjustments. Dont get out-coached by a guy in his very first game.

Dont get whipped on the LOS by a CUSA team that has 2 new tackles, one a senior dlineman who hadnt played tackle since high school.

Dont get run over by a smaller line.

Dont give up and lay down with a huge lead.

Bounce back performances will bring me back but we have to show some heart, fundamentals and quality coaching decisions.

If this past game was just an aberration then win one you were not expected to and make up for it. We need 6.

Because here at UK, we like evening the playing field. High moral clause to never make our opponents feel insecure or threatened.

win all 6 of those games and Stoops gets 2 more years from me........ but we're not winning all those games. We cant stop a wet noodle on defense

After watching the complete turdfest Stoops and staff put up against USM, I would be thrilled and in total disbelief if he somehow made this team get 6 wins. I hope it does happen, I want Stoops to prove me and most of us doubting him wrong. I would gladly and happily eat a full plate of crow of it happens.
