in the country. What did you fokkers think was going to happen?

Some of you are just natural born malcontents and are only happy when you have something to ***** about.

And you can gripe about DH's coaching ability or inability - but - a lot of what's going on lies on the shoulders of SH. He's got to make better decisions and throws. If he doesn't....well......we're going to get bent over like a two dollar *****.

I don't know, but, it's kind of sick that you're hoping he does.

ha. same drill 4 years in a row.

you terds never criticize dana... because every QB that plays for poor dana has a concussion, non-disclosed shoulder injury, and love triangle with a receiver's girlfriend by november.

I'm glad that you agree that if Dana put a more competent and talented quarterback on the field against the number 2-3 team in the nation that our team would have fared much better.

I don't know if we win if we have better QB play. But if we did we go in at the half tied or in the lead. And then if we open the second half with a scoring drive maybe our defense wouldn't have become as bad as it became in the second half.

For all the complaints about the defense, it did what it had to do in the first half to keep us in the game. And a better QB might have had us in an interesting position in the 3rd quarter.

I have never complained about Holgs. But it is on his shoulders that we don't have a better QB on the field. I turned the game off and if we played this coming Saturday I would probably DVR the game while I go out and do something with my family.

2 games ago in Norman, Skylar was out there & totally out of control, could be 1st road game in front of 80k+. He was responsible for 5 turnovers. He made so many bad decisions.

Last week it was 2 turnovers and today it was only one. He's still not making all the correct reads and is missing the short pass which is costing us 1st downs, but today he was not being as reckless and careless with the football. He did better today. He's getting better on the learning curve, and his freshman/1st year WRs are turning out to be real good. That Dills or whatever the qb/WR from Delaware/Maryland made some good catches.

I ain't ready to give up on Howard. He doesn't have a great arm, but he's getting better. He's what WVU has and what we got to go with. He has to see the entire field better. He has missed the swing pass being open sooo much. Also the int he threw today was on 3rd down in the end zone and he had 15 yds to run if he'd have wanted to.

Btw that picture of yours is funny.

Did you watch the game? He was throwing balls that should never have left his hands. How many incompletes did he finally have? Some of those should have been picks if Baylor had a good pass defense.

What do I expect? Well, I don't expect to be 0-3 in the league and have that feeling that we will lose to the following teams:

1. TCU
2. K-State
3. Texas

Maybe wins:
4. Iowa State
5. Texas Tech

Only "sure" win:
6. Kansas

I'm sick and tired of going in to the season thinking "this could be a special year" just to see us finish at 4-5 in the league, or worse. Sorry, excuse me for expecting us to beat Oklahoma....or K-State......maybe just once. For us to pull out a win at HOME against Ok. State, even though they have the same team they had last year that we went in their back yard and beat the **** out of them.

Let's look at the facts. I know that's not popular.
WVU scored more points against Baylor than any team the Bears have played this year.
Baylor was bigger, more athletic, more talented than WVU. Not even close.
The Mountaineers may have lost to the 2015 national champs.
Doesn't make me feel better, but let's get real.

If WVU doesn't go 4-1 or 5-0 against Texas Tech, Texas, Kansas, Iowa State and Kansas State, then we DO have a problem.

But losing to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor and, yes, TCU isn't because WVU is a bad team. Just not quite good enough. Well, against Baylor, WAY not good enough.

M ighty defense throttled Georgia Southern, 44-0

O utstanding defense obliterated Liberty, 41-17

U nilaterally decimated Maryland, 45-6, on defense and offense

N oxious offense & special teams against Oklahoma, 44-24

T urnovers lose to Oklahoma State, 33-26 in OT despite impressive comeback from 15-point deficit.

A wesome Baylor too much, 62-38.

I nch by TCU

Say what you want. Excuse however you want. Fact is that we are better than OSU. Playing Oklahoma and Baylor on the road was difficult when the schedule came out. But giving up 62 points? I don't care if it's against the potential national champion or not. We should be BETTER THAN THAT.

The issue is that we are 1-8 against 8-5 teams since the start of the 2012 season. That is the bigger problem than losing to the number 2 team on the road.

Even tough I had zero expectation of a W today, top 5/10 caliber teams lose all the time in college football. at one time, we were one of them to do exactly that on more than one occassion.

couple more facts to consider. at least from today's blowout:

Howard accounted for 330 total yards, 4 TDs & 1 pick at 2-rated Bay.

Last year vs Bay, the No. 4 Bears were held to a season-low 27 points and 318 yards.

This year: 62 points, 693 yards.

yep, they are a legit top 5 team. I doubt highly that any D this season could slow Bay for four quarters. I don't see any O in college football that can keep up with Bay either for 60 mins. No. 1 ranked tOSU sure as hell couldn't.

end of the day, losing by 24 sucks any way you slice it. series is evened 2-2, but you'd almost never know it.

Howard is not a very accurate QB. He'll keep making better decisions as he goes along. With great receivers, and a defense, he'll win some ballgames. I'm just not confident that Holgie will keep getting better as a HC. I certainly don't think he is capable of taking the Mounties to a national championship.

It is sad that we no longer have any expectation of beating the top 4 teams in our conference. All of a sudden, for some of you, it is ok that we lose all 4 of these games. That is just the sad reality of our program. I even read someone say that we scored more points against Baylor than anyone else, while completely disregarding the68 points we surrendered. Have we fallen so far that we are now taking solace in such trivial stats? The truth is, our HC is in his 5th season and our team is still fighting for a chance to be in the middle of the conference, with an equal chance of being at the bottom, midway through the season. And at times we are still getting embarrassed.

The "wait until next year" refrain is Accepted...I feel like we are back in the early days of "Hoping we can Compete" with the big boys...Don't know that we can go 4-1 the rest of the way.....I think some of the mistakes we make happen regardless of the opponent. I'd like to see Sills come in the third and long plays......or just to confuse the opponent.....Maybe the Guru still has some tricks up his sleave to get those wins you clamor for.....Hoping those teams don't get Better.

I actually thought we had a shot at winning. We beat them last year when they were undefeated, highly ranked and had a veteran QB and our defense this year was SUPPOSED to be much better. You also cannot put the blame Howard, he does not play defense. Talking about getting bent over, did you see our defense yesterday?

Like I said before....stick with Dana and the best we will ever be is that we beat the teams we should beat 4 out of 5 games and lose to the teams that are just BIGGER AND BETTER(dumbest crap I have read today by the way) than us 100 percent of the time. Since we have 6 gimme games on our schedule each year then you either condition your self to enjoy 6-6 or 7-5 each year or be sadly disappointed but that is the best Dana will ever be.

On the other hand, at least Wake Forest has won a conference game in 2015--and it was a road shutout

I don't have a problem with the loss to Baylor, I think they are the best team in the country. No real problem with the loss at Oklahoma, although I'd like to see us beat them every now and then (Stew did it). It's more the way we are losing, and the idiotic decisions like letting the RBs decide who plays and burning a redshirt on a highly rated QB when we have no lack of receivers.

And no way we should have lost to OK State at home with that atmosphere.
