My 88 year old grandmother past away yesterday. She was one of the biggest Duke and college basketball fans I have ever met. My grandfather was a Methodist preacher for many years and went to Dukes divinity school, so the generations of Duke fandom begin. She was an OG OFC member!! She lived a great life that was soured just a little towards the end by the one and done rule and the ACC Network. She was one of the greatest people and Duke fans that I will ever know and I thought a few more people should know as well. Here's to a great rest of the season and hanging #6, bc that's what she would have wanted.

It sounds like she lived a great life! I’m sorry for your loss and hope that Duke can offer some distraction during this time! She will be watching in heaven!

Hurley, so sorry for your loss man. Your family's loss is the man above gain. No need to worry about your Grandma wanting her boys to hang number 6. She will definitely see it when it happens.
Life is so short and precious that we must try to enjoy every minute and savior the times we have with loved ones. Prayers for you and your family.

Thank you for the words....they mean a lot. My dad is a high school basketball coach. I just got back from the game. Their colors are green, but everyone either wore Duke blue or Duke gear in the student section for my grandmother. They won by 2 in overtime on a go ahead shot with about 5 sec. to play. It was a great moment! Let's go Duke!
