I haven’t seen anything out of Kerr to make me think his absence is our problem. If he is our pg next year we sre in trouble.

He won’t be. He was recruited to come off the bench. He’ll be the backup again next year, if he can’t return this season.

When Sears was first at Alabama Sears was still a profitable company
People forget Sears played at Ohio University and played against UK at Rupp. Oscar and Wheeler’s first year together. It was actually a close game.

For every mistake on defense, he creates issues for the other team with his constant "in your face" defense.
His in your face defense lasts about as long as it takes for the guard across from him to take two dribbles. He's as bad defensively, on the ball, as Perry, Reed, and Rob. And that's saying something.

Kerr isn't the difference in this team being successful. The measurable difference between what he and Perry give you are pretty negligible. It makes far more sense, IMHO, to use the med waiver and come back next season. Lewis, JJ, Perry, and Kerr give you some nice options in the backcourt.

Let’s be honest Kerr is a better defensive player than Perry. Just the experience factor alone should make him a better defender than a freshman that’s not a good defender. He’s been in college for over 4 years.

Defense aside, Kerr is an elite passer/playmaker. He’s very good at passing ahead of the defense. He’s also a good leader and just brings a different element to this team. I would love to get him back!
