This game just further proves that we need Mawot; those people who said are slump was not because we lost Mag last season are dead wrong
Last night everything that he brings to the team was lacking with his abscence
1. The press totally ineffective as it was since he went down
2. Rebounding it was Cliff and no one else; Mawot is clearly the second best rebounder on this team and last night we got hammered on the offensive boards
3. Defense- Mawot was our second best defender behind Caleb and now he is probably our best defender
4. Scoring- this is far underrated but in the 10 games or so before Mawot got injured he was our second leading scorer in most of those games and he was coming on even more especially in the MSU game when he got hurt he had 7 points and would have had 9 since he got injured on a layup so again this cannot be underestimated
5. Leadership- well you saw that was clearly lacking in the effort last night
one quick aside if we continue to play Oskar 23 minutes and Gavin 13 minutes a game we are in deep sht this year going forward and how doesn't Antoine play more in the second half is beyond me
