Can it happen again in 2024. Looking at last years roster they seem to be loaded with lot of underclassmans coming up. Or will they lose too many good pieces to repeat. They are well coach team.

It can absolutely happen again. They are reloading at QB but they have dominant twin defensive linemen and TD Jr. at Linebacker for starters. Main running back is returning along with a couple big OLs and a couple of their main receivers. Not to mention a big-time DL entering their program also.
The transfer portal has been good to the Dub again this year.
Its funny ho the Charlotte schools get beat up for transfers but Weddington is always a big time transfer destination.
They are definitely doing better with their recruiting the last few years than the Charlotte schools that are normally the top recruiters.
How many open rooms left in Davis’ house?
Weddington getting Trajen is probably the biggest transfer move across the state so far and it will be hard to top it.

It was miraculous that they had a TA position come open at the middle school and thats exactly what job his mom was looking for. Funny how things work out sometimes
I think he filled them back up with the 2 new receivers they brought in. Can probably build on an addition if need be though..
They cast a wide net for those transfers also. Those kids are coming from everywhere.
Two reasons for that. The first one is TD. The second one is the DL coach who is huge in the 7v7 scene. Open recruiting season at those tournaments.
I was definitely aware of the 7v7 and travel football scene that Weddington has benefited from.
Nelson O Tate will do very well at Weddington. Hate to see him leave NM. Weddington is getting some more BIG Time transfers in.
Weddington is Hough with premier coaching. If Hough had Capone over the last 10 years they would have 3 maybe 4 titles.
Funny how all you ASSume Weddington is recruiting. When you win , have a great academic school , and a safe place , people want to move there. Same as most of the families of non athletic kids. There’s no apartment’s in the district and TD can only host so many…
