Should be great game between Dogs and Bears. I'm pulling for Bears, cause in Tiger Town we love Bret.
What is your assessment of Swain? I heard they struggled to cover the bears passing game.
Swain had a hard time covering Pisgah or MH. passing..Did have some big linemen and good QB.It was only a scrimmage, think they will do O.K. this year.
After watching Pisgah in the scrimmage I think it is going to be a defensive battle with Murphy. If so then the edge is going to go to Pisgah. I would like to see Murphy win this one because they represent the SMC. However I think Pisgah gets the end by six or less over Murphy. That is if it a relatively low scoring game. Murphy is going to have to score points to beat Pisgah.
I keep hearing bad things about our scrimmage with Pisgah and Mountain Heritage. Both of these teams are talented and are favored in their conferences. If you were watching and know who was in at that time then you would know that our starting defense gave up a total of three tds. I have no idea how many our second defense and second offense scored. But the starting defense from what I witnessed gave up one to Pisgah and two to Mountain Heritage. Our offense only scored one and that was against Mountain Heritage. We ran 90% or more of our plays between the tackles. We only attempted maybe five or six pass plays. Watching Swain this early is not a clear indication of success. They had two a day practices this week and the big boys up front seemed to be fatigued at times. We looked young in places and inexperience played a role but this time of the season with a young team that is normal.
