Burns impressed me last year. Overcame a mistake early and took care of business. Crest offense needs to be better than it was then.
I agree burns was tough last year. I just think Crest will have more speed and outlast Burns this contest But it should be close!
Burns has beaten Crest 3 out of the last 4 years including a beatdown at the ranch last year. With Crest coming off a huge and emotional win, can they keep it locked in for another week? No one is talking about Burns this year. But they have been very impressive at every scrimmage and the game last week. I feel confident in saying that this will be a very high scoring game. Burns has 9 new starters on defense and will be tested this week for sure. The offense is just as good and maybe better than last year if that's possible. Should be a good one.
Well well well. Here we are. Has that butt unpuckered since fri? Are you gonna drive the players to the top of the hill and let em run down? Are we gonna hear who let the dogs out? Gonna be any goat mishaps this week? We just never know when we travel to the upper part of football heaven.
Going to be your typical county game. While on paper crest should handle business I think this game will be a shootout and come down to who capitalizes on a mistake. Aside from actual play, it’s going to be 94° Friday and i think conditioning will play a big part in the outcome late in the game. Burns offense in my opinion is better than last year but the defense is nearly all new as stated above. Should be a good game and we’re going to be ready come Friday.
Yes. Both have added pieces to their staff to my understanding but same HC’s.
Going to be a tough out for both our teams bro. I feel like we're looking in a mirrior especially on offense. Speed for days on both sides. It's going to be hot so we'll see who is in shape for sure.

Heat index in the 100s for sure. You know when the weather app has it listed as 98 (mine does) it will be well over 100 on that field. That is brutal! I would drink liquid IVs all week.

Crest is the favorite coming in, and they should be. Depth could be an issue for Burns this week, especially with the heat.
Yep, they’ll probably drive them to the top of the hill and they’ll run down. Been doing that for a while. They’ll might even shoot off fireworks. I believe crest has copied that or tried to anyway.
Hopefully y’all can come down from winning the state championship last week. Gaffney has some skilled players but were definitely big and slow, compared to crest. Reminds me of mountain teams that come down undefeated and get blasted by faster teams. Not saying crest won’t win because I really don’t have a dog in the fight but please let last week go and move on. I haven’t seen much on here about it and thank y’all for that but it’s all you see on Facebook and other social media outlets. I’ll be at this one because I believe it’ll be a good ball game.

Leave the butts out of it, but you never know what is going to happen at "Da Dale". DD cut all his hair off, some cat out there in all black. Maybe they ride to the top, maybe they walk. There will be fireworks before the game , during the game and especially after the game when the wild Irish rose kicks in! That cheap swill coupled with boiled hot dog water will cleanse more intestines than a five layer burrito with Diablo sauce on it …

We stopped boiling our hotdogs about 3 and a half weeks ago. Nothing but microwaved weenies for us now.
Wow. No post on this game since tuesday. I say. The Chargers roll in hittin on all 8 cylinders. Leave the bulldogs. Licking their butt and shaking their head. Revenge tour victim 1. In sight.
Not a whole lot that can be said that has not been said before. Crest beat Gaffney and Burns beat Forestview. As a Burns fan, our defense is pretty new and has not been tested like they will be the next two weeks. We will find out what we are made of but I do like our chances. Anyone with at least half a brain last year knew we beat a young Crest team last year. Pressure on Huskey and not blowing coverage is huge. Gaffney blew a ton of coverages last week focusing on Tater and forgetting he can run and throw. Go back and look at the play where Green is wide open. DB was all over him, Tater took off and the DB crashed in to make a play only for Tater to throw it to a wide open Green. Plays like that cannot happen. It's Cleveland County, I expect war!

That is where trying to pressure Huskey would be key for us. A ton of skilled players on Crest offense so we cannot let him just sit back or roll out without any kind of pressure. That is a bad idea. Those coaches forgot about more than I know but I am sure that is a focus. We have to force him to make mistakes or get them off the field. We have thrown the ball well thus far but we didn't play teams with that kind of speed. I feel like Crest had an idea of that they were made of and come into Lawndale to prove it wasn't a fluke. Burns is also coming in to prove that they are also for real. We will definitely know more about who we are Friday night. I just hope Hydration was a huge focus this week. In the 3rd/4th quarter it will be important.
Well Ben Mauney is only 96 yards away from 6,000 career passing yards and would be only the 7th QB in Cleveland County to ever do that. That's pretty impressive considering some of the QBs that's come through here in the past.
That's definitely impressive. I didn't have him in mind when I posted that. I don't know whatnhe has to throw to this year. They could have a fantastic passing game.
