Ok. Another painful nomination from Voodoo. This is really really painful and tough rolling off my tongue,....but I would nominate Issiah Robertson from NV.
The Swiss Army knife of the western burbs. The young man did a little of everything against the beloved WV Warriors.
I don't have the exact stats but must have had over 150 all purpose yards. Every time he returned a kickoff he set up the NV offense around midfield. At WR - He had some nice catches on offense and drew several Pass Interference penalties (to the refs out there! You forgot to get the yellow hanky out and throw it on one very obvious PI play against NV - review the NCTV film! But I digress.....). At DB - I believe he had 2 picks on defense and multiple tackles.
Really enjoyable watching him play (against others).

Noah Hickcox Boylan - Noah is a 2 way starter OL/DL. Noah intercepted a pass and returned it 32 yards for a TD. He recorded a safety-he batted down the 4th down pass to end the last Hononegah drive to secure the 17-14 victory. Hickcox is easily the MVP of this game.
Also Noah Hickcox did all of that two days after his Dad passed away...
I intentionally left that part out. I wanted Noah to be considered for player of the week based on his outstanding play. It was also "Parents Night" which the varsity players walk out with their parents for a photo. He received a standing ovation from the entire crowd. Not many dry eyes in the stadium. Hononegah parents and students were very respectful .
