Honestly not surprised Shelby dropped a spot. Also not surprised Chase jumped into the top 20 even after 2 straight losses to Burns & Shelby but they shouldn't have jumped 6 other teams on the list IMO. Yes they've been competitive and are clearly good, but it's still back to back losses
Would anybody disagree that The Southwestern 2A Conference is the best overall 2A Conference in the state. Two teams in the top five, Shelby #2 and Burns #3. Four in the top fifteen, South Point #12 and Chase #14. I don't think Reidsville or anybody else would want to face that conference schedule.

I wish we did have a conference like that. Back in 2002-2004 era we did have a conference like that, I miss those days.
A little surprised Midway isn’t on that list. They are 3-0.
I think we'll learn alot about Midway this week. If they're able to hang with Clinton for 4 qtrs then they should be ranked
In speaking of the Southwestern Conference. Don’t forget RS Central. They are really good too. Only 2 teams gonna make the playoffs. But there are 5 teams in that league no one wants to play.
Reidsville and Cummings were powerhouses in those years.
Reidsville will finally be in a new setup this fall with all traditional public schools for a change. and will have some in-county conference competition with Morehead and McMichael. The football schedule should get better since that will open two non-conference dates that were previously taken by Morehead and McMichael.
Hey loveitthere, there was no intention on my part to underestimate R-S Central. I was just listing teams ranked in this weeks top 20. SP still has R-S, Shelby and Chase left on their schedule. It’s possible that by seasons end SP could have 4 losses and not even sniff the top 20. I hope hats not the case but it’s possible.
SP Raiders 78-I didn’t mean to imply that you left them out on purpose. Just pointing out how deep that conference is. It’s a shame that only 2 of them will get in the playoffs because no one in Western 2a would wanna play them.

It’s ok. If both teams win out until they meet then looks like top 3 orange/blue team will have to face an unranked ER in Ramseur...
