St. Laurence Junior running back Fayezon Smart is my nominee for POW. He had 252 rushing yards and 4 TDs in the Vikings 49-35 win over CCL Green's St. Francis on Friday. COW nominee is the Vikes' Harold Blackmon. This former Northwestern star DB has this offense humming (put up 70+ points twice this season and was tied with BR in the 4th quarter last week). He has turned the corner with this program and showed it with the big road win over SF Friday night.
Seems like just on repeat by Brodner was the difference against HC for GW. Scored three and set up the other two TDs with plays few in state could make.

I nominate again Colton Fisher of Mundelein - 2 TDs this week and over 15 yards rushing as Mundelein win its 4th game of the season
I'm sure the kid is a nice player, but player of the week for gaining over 15 yds?
Tim Dougherty. Galesburg High School. 1st win over Rock Island Alleman in a long, long time. GHS is 4-2/3-0 in WB6. In conference play, 91 points for, 14 against. Back to back shutouts.
Smalling. He's the best receiver in the state, and he proved it with a 15 catch, three touchdown performance against a defense that hadn't allowed a point since August.
That's a bad conference and a team that made the playoffs last year against a slightly tougher schedule, shouldn't this be expected?
