Sorry for the delay ... we learned a good bit last week, we learn even more this week.

JK @ ED - overall piss poor performance last week for JK. ED also coming off a trip to the woodshed against Clinton. I’ll give ED the edge especially after the beat down we gave them last year.

WRH @ Midway - WRH has absolutely no problem in this one, they do what JK failed to do last week and bring Midway back down to earth.

Clinton vs. Goldsboro - I know Goldsboro took Clinton to the wire last year. Clinton won’t overlook a very talented Goldsboro team.

No real issues with your predictions, however do you think Midway is better than Goldsboro? If so, Goldsboro for a while kept it close with WRH, while I think Midway falls to WRH I don't think it'll be by that margin. I'm guessing 35-21 WRH.

I do not think Midway is better than Goldsboro. Goldsboro has so much potential to be a great football team. If anyone of the WRH assistants moved to Goldsboro they could have Goldsboro taking WRH Clinton to the wire each season. The highlight of Midways season will be beating JK. WRH is really about to put it to them Friday. I think WRH played Goldsboro so close because it sounds like they were just going through the motions

WRH will take care of Midway pretty easily with a backup QB this week. Hopefully we can be at full strength when Clinton pays us a visit. My only fear is i hope our guys are not looking ahead.

In all fairness and respect to the backup QB and any QB who has ever played at WRH in that Wing-T they really only have to take a clean snap turn around and give it to the right RB. In the 3 events where WRH decides to pass the ball the Tight End or Wing Back is wide open 95% of the time. WRH won’t have to put the ball in the air at all in this game. With that being said having a capable QB can really open up that offense a lot more and be a huge weapon. Kanye has a 200 yard game easily

The only game that has the potential of not playing out the way I predicted is the JK ED game. Those 2 teams are more evenly matched than the other 2 matchups

Will be interesting to watch these 3 games play out. I think Goldsboro will put up a good fight, Midway may as well. The Panthers should roll right over the Tiggers.

I don’t think we were ever over hyped. Yes I thought we had a better team than Midway and I thought we had a good chance to beat them and we played like ****. Cellar dwellers? Lol 1 conference game has been played. I understand that JK has absolutely no chance at beating Clinton or WRH and a slim chance against Goldsboro but don’t forget those games still have to be played. Only thing I have against Midway is that they are still under a false belief that they are a good football team.

I don’t think we were ever over hyped. Yes I thought we had a better team than Midway and I thought we had a good chance to beat them and we played like ****. Cellar dwellers? Give them a little leeway man. That’s all I’m saying. Great seasons for them lately have come few and far between. If JK was undefeated right now, you’d be excited and beating your chest just as much as they are. I’m happy for them and the program. Maybe this sparks something for them or maybe it’s just a once a decade team...who knows. I expect them to lose tonight, but no one would be happier for them than me if they pulled off a win tonight.

I'm calling BS on this. Who is exactly is this "they" you mention? No one on these boards is overhyping them. The team certainly isn't overhyping themselves. I mean, 7-0 is a pretty good football team, especially when this same 7-0 team went 4-7 last year and and 3-8 the year before. Regardless, I have repeatedly said on these boards WRH is probably going to beat Midway. Same for Clinton. But I legitimately think they have a fighters chance in both those games to at least be competitive. I similarly think they could beat East Duplin and Goldsboro. But I also acknowledge that they could just as easily go 0-4. Like you JUST SAID in your post - "don't forget those games still have to be played."

Well, if you'll look to the left under my username you'll see I've been a member on rivals.com since 2004 with nearly 10,000 posts. I'm sorry that life gets in the way sometimes and I don't always run to this message board to post a post. If you want me to be frank, you running your mouth pounding Midway into the dirt is what ultimately brought me out of retirement. You were throwing shade at them pretty hard long before I started posting again. At first, I tried to dismiss it and provide rational insight but someone can only take so much of a grown adult constantly bashing the school they graduated from. No bandwagon here, I've been a Midway fan since the old days...don't need a silly internet message board to prove otherwise.

You’re the definition of a bandwagon fan if you took a 15 year hiatus and waited till Midway to finally won a conference game to jump back in on the conversation.

And in 13, 14, 15 when baseball was active in the East Regionals/State Championships. Sure, I’m more active when MHS is performing well but I’m a LONG TIME lurker on these boards. I had no intentions of posting anything until you repeatedly trash talked Midway right into the ground. I’m sorry, but yes, my feathers were a little ruffled and I had had enough. You can call me bandwagon fan all you want, but I’ve been a loyal Midway follower dating back to the early 90s so I don’t need a message board to prove that.

From what I have heard and I am sure that there is more to the story but there were some guys injured/quitting team/ I think varsity has had issues with players getting injured or getting in trouble at school and we had to move players up from JV. Really the only thing we have going for us at this point is our QB is a freshman. If he isn’t taking us deep in the playoffs by his senior year then the system has failed. We also have a kid on the team that for the life of me idk why he isn’t the QB. Oh well like I said this team is Clark’s and I trust him for the next 4 years at least.
