One of my fav ZZ Top Albums

No singles but all killer, no filler. I can't believe they put 80's drums on it at one point. It probably sounds horrendous but I don't go near that stuff.

You got to see the tour for it, so you were immersed in it.

Thursday (4/27) was the birthday of Kate Pierson. She was a founding member of the B-52s. She was somewhat unique in that she often played keyboard bass for the band. To celebrate, one of their most popular songs (she's the singer with the big hair on the keyboard):

She also owns a retro RV VRBO spot in Joshua Tree.
I didn't stay there but visited it. Its as cool as you would expect.

Tuesday (5/2) was the birthday of Bob Henrit. He was the drummer in Argent. Their first hit featured a pretty simple drum part, but it was very distinctive, and made the song instantly recognizable. To celebrate:

Tuesday (5/2) was the birthday of the late, great, Randy Cain. He was a member of The Delfonics (not the lead singer), though he left the group in 1971. He was part of the group for their biggest hit. I think the below video includes him, but I'm not certain.
