Scott was a very talented and underrated performer. San Francisco was written by John Phillips, best known as a member of the Mamas and Papas, but previously in a group with Scott called the Journeymen. That group had the 1st release of the Hedy West song 500 Miles Away From Home, and Scott's lead is terrific.
