So, after what I've seen through these first 9 games, this is where I'm at:

If you told me they're gonna get swept and run-ruled in at least one game of the three... I couldn't find anything to mount an effective rebuttal.

I don't feel good about any facet of their game and knowing ClemTech has the nation's best pitching stats right now doesn't make me feel better. USC hasn't been effective at the plate against worse-than-average opponents, so this seems like a real cause for concern. Defense hasn't been solid/consistent and the pitching seems to fit the same description.

I know it's a funny game and anything can happen, but it seems to happen to them, not for them.

Other perspectives?

I'm a diehard since 1968.

I've seen some bad teams here but I don't think I've ever seen football, basketball, and baseball be so terrible at the same time. Our basketball and baseball team look like middle of the pack SoCon teams.

Our fans deserve so much better.

Oh, and all those that thought NIL would be our ticket, how are you feeling now.

Game 1 Taters make a statement, 11-2 clemson .... Game 2 Clemson will rest a lot of players and only win 7-3 .... Game 3 In Columbia, SC again cant get home runners in scoring position with NO OUTS lose Finally 12-6

On the contrary, the post went just fine.

Show me anything in the first 9 games (including getting beaten by a HS team the game before this series) that would lead a reasonable fan to believe things would turn out like they did tonight. I asked for other perspectives and don't see where you posted your crystal ball prediction saying the Cocks would blank the Taters tonight. Pretty easy to chirp in hindsight when you didn't take a position ahead of time - you don't get to criticize in that situation. It's like saying, "I knew that" after the answer is revealed... but you never said anything beforehand. Sure you did...

And I said, "I know it's a funny game and anything can happen...", which acknowledged the unexpected might happen.

I didn't disparage or malign, I just wasn't wearing garnet colored glasses. It's called being realistic and what happened was unexpected (even according to the oddsmakers).

Well now, since you apparently missed out on the opportunity to call this shutout and we don't want that to happen again, here's your chance to tell us how the next two games will turn out so we can all take the deed to our house to the closest bookie and make bank on it.

We're all ears.

Well I have my crow cooking. Carolina had 4 big hits but seven runs.

I get Clemson made some errors but they didn’t score a single run. You have to do that to win. Give some credit to our 2 dominant pitchers that only gave up 3 hits? Seems like they might have had something to do with it.

We actually scored some earned runs too…more than Clemson did. I don’t see how anyone can say they lost it more than we won it unless they didn’t watch the game. Those errors contributed to the lopsided score, but not the result.

IMO 7 runs on 4 hits the other team has to do some bumbling. I do give the Carolina pitchers credit, do like I said, I have crow in the oven, we’ll see how much I gotta eat!!

Men's basketball. I think the women will make it to the championship gave vs Connecticut, but will lose again, albeit not a blowout.
