Several people I know swear by these things. I’m a tight wad, so before I spend the money, I want to hear your opinion.

Any certain brand you recommend? 15 or 20 LBS? I can’t imagine trying to sleep with a blanket much heavier than that.
Thanks in advance.

They recommend 10% of your body weight but my wife tried 12 and 15 lbs and neither one worked for her. She ended up with 20 lbs.

I have a 15lb one, I guess a 20lb would be more correct for me, but it’s been good - and no it doesn’t get hot. I use another blanket over it in the winter.

Also keep in mind the size along with the weight. 15 lbs distributed over a twin size blanket is a lot different than a 15 lb queen size blanket.

What’s the purpose?
It just kind of “locks you in” to a sleep position and makes you fall asleep faster, IMO. It’s like sleeping comfortably under a bunch of heavy quilts but it’s more efficient since it’s pretty thin and doesn’t get hot.

Unless u sleep naked...

It still wont fix yer tight *** drawz that creep up in ya crack n ya have to dig out every time u flip over.

When u get a weighted blanket yer gonna have to upgrade to the $50 “breathable” underwear.

Not to mention the SHEEX

Its a TRAP maaan

Weighted blanket sounds untrustworthy, imo. Definitely a trap. Sounds like a mafia thing.

Hmmm will def help keeping bodies nicely “tucked” when depositing them in the local dump.

Dont want any leftovers.

Weighted Blankets = Serial Killer/Mafia approved

Is the OP a serial killer? In the Mafia? Or does OP sleep naked?

I swear to Jehovah I thought this thread was parody.

B/c I overheard this exact conversation from the elder women in the kitchen at TG. The men were making fun of them in the next room... Lol.

Never tried one. I probably wouldn't like it.

I always hated using multiple blankets to stay warm in the winter because of the added weight. I want to be able to move around without feeling like a ton of lead is holding me down. I just use a sheet and an electric blanket.

These anxiety blankets are for pussys.

We bought ours because they say it makes you rest better. I couldn't tell any difference other than I burned up and would kick it off onto my wife. Then she had the whole weight of it on her and would wake up mad because I threw it on her. :joy:

Full disclosure. I’ve used a weighted blanket the last two nights and it sucks. Hurt my balls when I lie on my back and I felt trapped. 15 pounder, I believe. Might try a lighter one.

I just thought it was funny (stupid) to equate manliness with the type of fabric on a bed.
... Just as I thought the idea of swaddling a grown *** man was kinda funny.

Good God, man.

Do you have fibromyalgia or some other fairy tale "disease" too?

I grew up sleeping like that every winter because the wood stove wouldn't hold a fire all night. Not revisiting those memories but I do have very normal friends that love theirs.
