Lots of spam ads on the app. It is annoying.
As long as the IC crew is making more $, we should all be happy.
I want to complain about something small... I mean it really is small... the Inside Carolina Logo at the top of this page is too small. Need to make it bigger.
So I am confused a bit. This new site is completely subscription based (which I paid), correct? Then what is the difference between the The Tar Pit and the The Tar Pit Premium? I can post on both. Isn't this a bit redundant now? I get the old IC site where The Tar Pit was free. But now it seems there is no need for it.
Yes. And why should I have to sit through a stupid candy crush/gaming ad every time I try to post a response?
Let me chime in on that Jason staples rant..but first…let me see if I can jump over this unicorn and grab some gold coins before accidentally opening the App Store link to unknowingly download this POS.
Seriously as someone who has monetized a pretty large site with ads, this is a great way for IC to lose members.
Is losing a potential premium member worth the pennies they get from that ad placement?
It appears the logo was enlarged.. not sure if my complaint made it to the folks in charge but it does look better.
My patience is wearing real thin with all the excessive ads. IC, is this the beginning standard you are looking to establish with your new home? Were you planning on keeping a significant number of premium members with this transition? If the On3 organization keeps this up, you’ll lose me. I can’t even check out the site and try to give IC’s new home a reasonable try.

I am not seeing any ads other than the banner that some times come across the bottom of the screen. I am using app and webpage on an Android phone. I use Microsoft Edge for the webpage. Where and when do you see ads?
IC has always had a free board option since the premium boards were put in place. That remains true today. A lot of people are saying there are no free forums at IC now, but as you can see there is clearly one as we are posting on it.
If you go to the home page https://www.on3.com/teams/north-carolina-tar-heels/ there should be a green join now button in the upper right to sign up for premium.
The ads must be an App deal.. I have not had any issues on my chrome book...basically the way it was on the old platform.
I am accessing the site through the mobile app using an iPhone. I’ll admit I’m trying the site as an unpaid subscriber transferring over from the old 247 platform. I want to try the site before I consider the premium version.
The sign up process was misleading then. When I first came to the site everything was locked, everything. Which to me meant I had to pay. If you go to the old site when not logged in the Free stuff was still Free and open to everyone.
So I signed up for the $1 deal and then saw the different boards. Everything was gear towards steering you to pay. I have since tried to cancel the membership but it will not let me. I guess I will fight the battle Nov 1st.
I’m not a tech guy and I don’t work for IC nor On3. but you do have to register your name and profile before you participate on the forums. And no free forums existed before Aug 1st so before then, that would involve the promotional membership.

my guess is that after you unsubscribe you will keep the premium until Nov 1 (that is what you paid for) but you will have cancelled the auto renew

Getting set up over here and subscribing. Congrats to the IC team on the move and look forward to seeing this community grow.
My username seems to work, but when I'm not posting it has a big green "A" that says "Anonymous" -- does it take a while to update?
nm... it updated after about two minutes... guess I'm in the instant gratification camp that I accuse my kids of requiring....

I get IC finding a better spot here, but it's bizarre seeing the Tar Heel Illustrated folks on 247 now. Strange mix-up of everything. The on3 platform is growing on me though
