Well..Guess it's time for Gran to leave

For the past few years, when the team struggles we get a new OC.
Maybe one day someone will ask how you can have a rushing attack that gets over four hundred yards and still get beat by two touchdowns...with only one turnover.

The defense is sorely underwhelming....this team has made so much improvement it's all the way up to bad.....considering what it was the first two and a half games.

Hope next year shows something on d.

It's hard to blame an offense when you rush for 400 yards and have 600 total yards. The defense is clearly better than it was at the start of the season but still has a ways to go. The D got to look good against 4 straight bad offenses but we are seeing the past two games that we can't win games yet off of our defense.

Gran is a solid guy for UK to have on the staff. With that said, he likely will say that the game he called today was not one of his stellar performances. The hand-off to Snell inside the 5 only to be tripped by his teammate versus going Wildcat comes to mind.

Gran is not going anywhere unless he simply gets tired of some of the non-sense espoused around Lex time to time.

I am glad that coach Gran is our OC. I like the improvements that have been made with this offense. I can't wait to see how well they do the remainder of this season, the bowl game and next year. Go Cats!!!

Gran has been pretty solid all year. His playcalling has been strange at times but he's pretty limited with no QB so they may be part of it.

If UK was getting anything decent from their passing game they'd be 7-3, maybe even 8-2 instead of 5-5.

Stoops is definitely going to need another scapegoat to draw the attention away from his defense..won't blame Gran a bit when he leaves with the way Stoops meddles with his OC's play calling..it was flat out embarrassing watching Stoops visibly using his hand motioning to Gran to pass the ball on our last drive of the game against Georgia..I'm not sure what makes Stoops think he knows anything whatsoever about the art of play calling, but he better back off Gran before we have yet another OC leave

He can only do so much with lack luster qb play. Get that straight and he's golden

Guess I should have clarified my opinion...

The past couple of years the answer we get from the coaches has ALWAYS put the offense under the wheels.
I have very seldom heard the coaching staff say that 24-30 points SHOULD be enough to win most games. The Defensive side has to do ........
Something.

Yeah, we are scoring way too much without a full passing game.It is time for Gran to go,we might start winning a few more games next year.This is UK,we can't let that happen,decent football here,we won't stand for it.

Ding ding ding, winner winner chicken dinner. Eli Brown is going to be a really good player along with Kash Daniel, but Eli got lost several times yesterday and it hurt. Eli was not the reason or even the biggest reason we lost, but there was a glaring hole out there without Jones.

I'm not seeing the 8-2. 100% losses to FL, Bama and Southern Miss. We threw the ball a ton against USM. 7-3...yeah maybe, but our D couldn't stop UT if their lives depended on it yesterday. And hell against UGA SJ made some plays and our guys effed it up. That one TD that turned into an INT was on the WR and probably cost us that game. So yeah I'm not seeing it.

The only 2 problems I've really had with the offense of late. Lack of a passing game and the inability to put the ball in the end zone after reaching the redzone. There has also been some questionable play calling at times the non threat of a true pass game doesn't help.

Bottom line..... Our Defense needs help, a LOT of help. I know Elliott is CMS buddy, but someone with experience needs to be brought in. Or Stoops needs to be like D Mason at Vandy, and be the DC. He also should never try to help C Gran, who is way more astute on Offense than Stoops could ever hope to be.

I agree with OP, we need to fire Eliot ASAP. He sucks as a DC and he's below average recruiter.

Why would he question that call? Pretty clear that had he not tripped, Snell would have scored quit easily. It wasn't the call, it was the execution.

Gran has done an incredible job given our pieces. Our team now has an offensive identity, something lacking in years past. Our defense on the other hand is a different story. I really think Elliott needs to go.

So when we are winning it is Stoopos running the D, but DJE when we are losing?
