simmered down two quarts of Apple cider with cinnamon sticks this am to produce. Half quart of deliciousness.

Go Time:

Grab a Cocktail stirring glass and dump in a scoop of ice

meanwhile chill down a rocks glass with a clear ice cube in the freezer.

dashes of Black Walnut Bitters
dashes of Old Fashioned Bitters
1/ 2 ounce Potter county Maple syrup
1 ounce cider reduction
3 ounces Basil Hayden Dark Rye

stir, smile, stir. Grab your strainer and pour.

Garnish with a couple of Luxardo cherries.

Relax, watch the Steelers, let the cosmic love you have gathered on your path flow outward and inward. Drink several.

Enjoy your Sunday Kids.

Where is everyone else wandering today?
I’ve been into Vieux Carre’s lately. Discoved it’s a classic NOLA cocktail when having one at the Republic in Bellefonte. Equal parts Rye ( Dickel for value, Sazerac for a treat), Sweet vermouth, cognac and B&B ( difference maker!) stir like Manhattan. Serve as you like you Manhattan. I prefer up in a chilled martini glass.

Great driving roads

make sure you check out the road from the BRP down to Buchanan it’s 55mph thru the woods downhill and completely unpatrollable. I’ll find it and post the road name/#
oh yeah, I've done that on a trip up to peaks of otter last winter. Went hiking at the peaks in the snow. literally no one there. it was delightful. Unfortunately, I did not bring my flask with me.

Mezcal Paper Plane at the local. This one’s good enough to get poached by tOSU.

Pisco Sour has the potential to be the greatest drink of all time. Unfortunately, I cannot duplicate at home the Pisco Sour I've had at the Four Seasons in midtown Manhattan. I've tried.
I will be in mid town in a couple of weeks. I will have to stop and try that.

When you guys make these fancy drinks, do you reuse those little umbrella stir sticks, or get a new one for each drink?
