...and man, this hasn't been the season I had been hoping for. Results are fine, but just not a lot of fun to experience.

And also at the end of that same month when we lost to Notre Dame and Sulaimon was dismissed the next day. We were all in shambles. I expect there will be a few more bumps in the road but I still like our chances!

I think with Grayson sitting and Harry getting more time, we're going to find an identity in January. 3 guards for 2 spots. Tatum, Amile, Harry, Chase and Bolden for the other 3 spots. We're a top ten team. If we want to beat the Cheats, we need a resurgent Grayson and Bolden needs to put aside expectations and come on hard. The guy has physical gifts that only 3-4 other college guys have. Let's go Duke. Channel this energy into insane defense.

You don't think Florida is good?
They are close, but I consider good team ones that have a chance to make a run in the tournament, great teams ones that can win it. Duke is a good team right now because of their talent that has a chance to be great. Florida I'd say is a solid team with a chance to be good.

Not really talking about the record... more the enjoyment as a fan. I haven't really enjoyed this one as much as I had hoped I would.

That's a low bar when playing a terrible team and an above average team. We haven't beat anyone good yet.

I will take a low bar over multiple losses for sure. Tenn St and Elon played very solid games for what they are physically capable of accomplishing. If a great team or even good team played a similar game we would lose right now. I'll take frustrated but winning all day

I haven't enjoyed Duke basketball much going on two seasons now...

No real concrete reasons other than it just hasn't been fun...last year it was Amile being out injured...always playing short of players..and Allen doing bad things..

This year it's all injuries again and now Allen doing bad things again...it sucks you can't get your team on the floor and know it's limited...

The vibe around this team for three years now hasn't been good...we had all the stuff with Sheed also...the NC put it in the back of your mind...and of course was fun...

But all the negativity either with a player or players and injuries has just zapped my enthusiasm for watching Duke...which is something I thought I would never say....

Sad to hear this but name one elite team without adversity. Heels last year had to deal with Duke home loss & Jenkins shot. Nova didn't advance to Sweet 16 for 5 years & barfed up the Big East Final before winning it all. Kentucky lost first game in FF in '15. Wiscy lost to a bunch of rent a players(LOL) & Ryan was caught using team jet for mistress.

This is sports, adversity hits everyone. No one stays healthy & goes 39-0 with 40 point blowouts each night.

I can't explain it really or even put it into a context that I pretend will make sense...it doesn't have anything to do with winning or losing...being a good team or a bad team....I've always supported them through all of that...

Today I feel like this was the culmination of all the negative the last couple of years...my spirit feels drained...

I've always been so spirited about Duke Basketball...and today it just feels lost....

I just want some good to happen for these guys and enjoy the process again without injuries and character problems...I want to enjoy the process again....

I'd say lay off the overreactions and you'll be fine. Put anything under a microscope including your own lives or demons or what have you and I'm sure a lot of it isn't pretty. Two games ago everyone was talking about Grayson being back- throwing in monster dunks and pouring in 34. The sky isn't falling please relax. Duke will be fine. Grayson will hopefully learn from this and we will all get over it. It sucks right now but that's life.

I enjoy every game especially since my father passed away unexpectedly a few years ago right before our season. Can't take this special program for granted, you never know what will happen.

Today I've had few Heels fans chime in & when I stated GA needs to sit for a long time the wind was knocked out of their sails. They wanted me to say the situation is nothing giving them the green light to rip away. Don't let outside fans, media personalities or social media bozos dampen your Duke love!

A few years back everyone was frustrated how good Duke was early on and would dominate everyone and then seemed to fade or it was perceived everyone caught up to Duke as the season wore on.

Just like a couple years back (a championship) Duke was what seemed a mess and they were losing games at home like mentioned above and seemed to be out of sorts.

I would much rather struggle ( as perceived even though its 1 loss this year) and grind out wins and learn early that it wont be easy so this team comes together and continues to fight and earn everything they get. I believe this team will come together as the injuries heal and the playing time sorts itself out and these young men establish roles. Its a long season and we are not even in conference play yet......HAVE FAITH in the fact that Coach K will get this figured out!

Some haters of the program will try to spin this in a way that we condone this type of behavior, but it seems like all of us agree that a significant punishment is warranted. The behavior is just unacceptable and something had to be done to try to make a change.

Well, the old adage is that there's three season's in college basketball....1) the preseason (which was just completed), 2) the conference season, and 3) the postseason.

In the preseason, we went 12-1, battled a multitude of injuries, dealt with trying to incorporate three of those injured players back into a lineup they've never played live with, and then to top it off lost the Preseason National Player of the Year indefinitely at its conclusion.

What if we could rewind 12 weeks and I told you all of that was going to happen?

We have good kids on our team, including Grayson. No criminals, no domestic violence or drug issues. We have the best coach. With good kids, the chemistry issues can be resolved in a long season. It will be a process. Maybe we get there, maybe not. I'll watch every game because I love Duke basketball. I'd rather have our team to root for than any other. So there.

hof coach roy williams thinks more than two games is not fair for Grayson to be suspended. He is suggesting just two games only to be spread out over several games as to not getting Grayson rusty. He has suggested the dates of Feb. 9th and March 4th as the games for Allen to sit and has submitted it to ACC commissioner johnny swofford. ;) OFC

Excellent point. In those years Duke would seem to dominate in November and December only to burn out in March. K has 2 months to get this team to gel together. 2 months is a lot of time for players to get back in game shape and for K to find a rhythm with this team.
