That is a interesting observation considering Blacksburg scored more points on PC than any other team they have played this year with the exception of LB. The Cougars decided they wanted to get into a track meet they could not win. They have now all but abandoned the running game and that will not be a good thing IF they even make the playoffs. They are sitting on the outside looking in as of now. I never thought I would see the day PC would be a pass first (not very physical) team and when they play a good team it shows as it did against Bburg. They have defeated (1) team with a winning record this year and that was 3A Abingdon. They need to stop padding the schedule with "cupcakes" IMO.
I wouldn't say that Pulaski has been padding the schedule with "cupcakes", I think they have been unfortunate with their scheduling. With the exception of Abingdon, the other three non-district teams (Carroll Co, William Fleming, Northside) haven't been able to help Pulaski much with regards to power points. No one expects to gain many points from playing Carroll County, hopefully that series will end soon, and I didn't think that Fleming would be winless at this point. Hidden Valley, Cave Spring, and Christiansburg only having 2 wins between them hasn't helped any either.
However, Pulaski has a chance with their next two games to ensure their playoff position.
Beating Patrick Henry would certainly help their cause, while beating Salem would make the playoffs a lock.
